Because it's always an insult.

But no-one is ever named.

If you do it, what do you mean? Why do you do it?

Does it ever cross your mind that long-standing, non-name-changing posters might be very hurt by your accusations?

If you're going to do it, have the courage of your convictions and name names.

God there are tons of people I vehemently disagree with on one subject, but totally agree with on another.

It's no different to real life in that sort of way really.

BillSykesDog · 02/04/2016 21:33

I thought all the proper Mumsnet royalty left over the Moldies incident?

And now we're only left with second rate pretendy royalty. Bit like the Hanoverians or the House of Windsor?

MrsKoala · 02/04/2016 21:34

Oh COME ON, of course they would. Right too late. I am claiming the title of 'the Duke of Edinburgh of Mumsnet'. Which one of you is going to be Prince Andrew?

WorraLiberty · 02/04/2016 21:34

Or Eddie and Barbara Royale.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 02/04/2016 21:35

I don't name change as o know I would forget my new password and (as far as I know?) you can have different user names so I'm sure I'd forget to log out and no doubt be accused of sock puppetry and all sorts of other nefarious crimes.

So maybe if no one name changed, everyone would be much more identifiable.

We must have another whose you're favourite thread. I love them! I once started a thread asking if people bore a grudge if people disagreed with them. I meant it philosophically and it started quite thoughtfully. Then the title seemed to get a bit lost in translation and loads of people piled in with tales of posters who had slighted them 7 years previously. It was fabulous Grin. I was agog during the night feeds. Then MN deleted it in the morning boo

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/04/2016 21:35

The Beatrice's and eugenies, not the Williams and Harry's.

Flumplet · 02/04/2016 21:35

Am I nobody's favourite then?!

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 02/04/2016 21:35

who's fucking autocorrect

WorraLiberty · 02/04/2016 21:36

I think I remember that thread Gobbo Grin

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 02/04/2016 21:36

I hate all of you equally

Sparklingbrook · 02/04/2016 21:37

I will be Donna Air. she is going out with/not going out with Kate Middleton's beardy brother. That's close enough to royalty.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 02/04/2016 21:38

It was brilliant worra I thought it was totally in the spirit of mumsnet so couldn't work out why it was zapped Grin

summerdreams · 02/04/2016 21:39

I have seen this used before but never paid much attention to it. I don't remember many posters names though my memory is a bit shit though to be fair.

Sallystyle · 02/04/2016 21:39

I am a non name changer. I have been here a long time.

I am never going to make MN Royalty status :(

Grin
Flumplet · 02/04/2016 21:39

I will start a new who's your favourite thread if you lot all come along and say it's me.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 02/04/2016 21:40

sparkling - according to my gay London dwelling chum, Donna Air literally is the beard

awaits deletion and immediate transportation to the Tower of London

AlleyCatandRastaMouse · 02/04/2016 21:40

Flumpet you might very well be my favourite but I won't remember you in the morning. Consider it a ONS.

The thing with those threads Gobbo, is that they tend to be a little bit more popular than some people care to admit.

They have a similar relationship with Mumsnet as the Daily Mail does Grin

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 02/04/2016 21:40

I don't remember many posters names though my memory is a bit shit though to be fair.

I don't believe you summer Grin

paxillin · 02/04/2016 21:41

MN's royal family would be like the House of Saud with hundreds of members.

Flumplet · 02/04/2016 21:41

Oosh - you're on alleycat!! WinkWink

Sparklingbrook · 02/04/2016 21:42
