My DD who is 3 has been having stomach/bowel problems for the last year. Diagnose as constipation. She can not pass a stool for weeks despite fantastic diet and laxatives and weeks is in severe pain most days. She is very petite and skinny but her stomach has swollen to look 9 months pregnant. Getting no where with doctors/hospital etc.
Aibu to think this is not how a heathy child's stomach should look.

You're bound to be worried, but remember, she is now getting serious attention for her problems. Your persistence is paying off. You are no longer getting the run around and hopefully she will now be seen by specialists who will listen to her history and do appropriate investigations and treatment. So it may not feel like it with DD's tummy so swollen etc, but you have achieved a heck of a lot since you began this thread. Well Done!!

Hand holding for you and DD.

Glad you're going in and that the medical professionals are now, finally, taking this seriously

So relieved your dd is in the right place. Thinking of you all. Nothing more stressful or distressing than an unwell child. Hoping they can make her comfortable quickly and start to investigate what is causing such awful constipation. Flowers

First time I've managed to peel today.
Not liking the abdomen becoming distended after the Senna so am glad she's going to get checked over. Sending you love.

FeralBeryl · 01/04/2016 17:31

Peel? Blush
