Don't even get me started on the X's.

I use Lo sometimes.

As in:

Behold the field in which I grow my fucks!
And lo! They beheld that it was barren.

I sent that by WhatsApp to a friend in reply to something and it made her chuckle.

Thanks Clopy - I did not make it up I found it on Facebook but I use it a lot.

Minutes are so boring I'm often tempted to theme them eg biblical minutes, scifi minutes.

Damn i wish i'd thought of that in my last job, minutes were a huge part of it and writing them up was boring as shit.

I would write up utter nonsense with lots of swear words to amuse myself then obviously delete and write the boring shit.

Mine spent an awful lot of time having conversations that started "don't minute this....blah blah woof woof"

With one particular group i used to say "you can have this conversation after the meeting and i can get back to my desk". I was an upstart.

Mine generally end the conversation with 'don't minute that', I score out my notes very ostentatiously. Little victories... I have no power

I used to get v bored whilst minuting and write things like "after some acrimonious debate, a tentative détente was established" to fill in time while they waffled on to reach a foregone conclusion.

Also did anyone else scroll thro whole wiki link to huns, hoping that a wiki mn editor had added a section on Nethuns?

I like to walk along when the lights have gone out (we have movement-activated light switches) saying, "she said, 'let there be light!' and lo! there was light!" as the lights come on.

It's probably the nearest thing I'll get to holding any power in this place...

Thanks to this thread, I've finally worked out what Nethuns is. I always read it as Nee-thuns and wondered (thought it was something along the lines of Neantherthals but was clearly missing a joke!)....Thank you Mrswooster
