Nope. Totally their choice.

MintyBojingles · 19/03/2016 00:12

No. Doubt I'd notice tbh.

BankWadger · 19/03/2016 00:12

No, as long as they are clean and tidy. (And because I work in CS and don't always wear make up).

Report
AvaCrowder · 19/03/2016 00:13

No. I don't think I notice at all, and the profession doesn't matter. I worked with a load of traders who didn't wear make up. As long as you can do your job, right?

DramaAlpaca · 19/03/2016 00:13

Of course not.

I wouldn't even notice.

It has yet to happen! They're all caked these days. But if they weren't, it wouldn't bother me personally,

whitershadeofpale · 19/03/2016 00:14

No unless it was on a makeup counter.

MrsJayy · 19/03/2016 00:15

I honestly dont notice what they have on their faces unless its a make up counter and they wear ALL the make uo and terrify me Grin

steff13 · 19/03/2016 00:15

I'd rather see someone with a bare face than someone who's way overdone.

I don't think the bloke who served me in the Co-op earlier had his slap on. Can't say I cared.

Report
AdoraBell · 19/03/2016 00:15

No. I would notice but it's none of my business, or anyone else's, if someone puts make up or not.

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 19/03/2016 00:16

No why?

Is this AIBU gender specific? If so YABU.

CharleyDavidson · 19/03/2016 00:17

Clean and nicely presented will do me. I don't care about makeup.

Nothing worse than being served by someone whose makeup is a distraction it's so heavy (those fake brows are the worst for that, or contouring colours!).

What MrsJayy said.

I genuinely don't notice who is wearing make up unless they're a make up counter assistant, wearing ever single product on their face that they sell.

Then I get scared and retreat to the face cleansing section.

It would be weird to think anyone should have to wear makeup. Do whatever you like with your face!

Report
FlyRussianUnicorn · 19/03/2016 00:18

I usually do wear it.

Didnt today and my manager asked me if I was going to put some on at lunch? Confused. I just didnt have time this morning in the car as I had some breakfast instead

I do have bad acne and some scarring so maybe thats different?

No...What are you gettiing at here? Has somebody (you?) been told they have to wear make-up?

Report
Mrsw28 · 19/03/2016 00:19

Nope, I don't care.

I've worked as a shop assistant in a few shops and sometimes didn't bother with make up, I was always fresh and clean though with clean uniform etc.

One job I had, I was told at interview that I HAD to wear make up whilst working, which surprised me and I mentally questioned whether that was legal or not... Hmm

Mrsmulder · 19/03/2016 00:20

No, that's not different. Cheeky cow, bet she wouldn't ask a bloke the same question Angry

BreconBeBuggered · 19/03/2016 00:21

X-post. Did you tell your manager to get fucked?

Report
Shemozzle · 19/03/2016 00:21

It's not different at all. Your boss is a sexist dick.

Does your work expect make up ? If somebody has acne that doesnt affect how you serve a customer.

tangerinesarenottheonlyfruit · 19/03/2016 00:21

No, I doubt I'd notice, but then I don't wear makeup, or very very rarely anyway.

The thing is shes lovely and wouldnt of expected it of her. Im quite self conscious anyway and this had just made me feel 100x worse.

I just said "wasnt planning on it" gave her a puzzled look and she smiled and said "OK" and walked off Confused

Cant work out why she would of asked and thought someone might of said something?
