I'm looking for somewhere in London where I can book a proper massage as a birthday present for my 6yo daughter.

Somewhere "naice".

Can anyone suggest anywhere?

Sorry.
Polly

Please say that's a typo and you meant 16

OohMavis · 03/03/2016 18:47

uwotmate

LineyReborn · 03/03/2016 18:47

That's not middle class; it's deranged.

Chippednailvarnish · 03/03/2016 18:47

Nah, middle class would be a massage for the 6 year old's pony.

I think you might have an issue with finding someone insured to massage a child...

MabelFurball · 03/03/2016 18:48

Do children stay still long enough?

Grilledaubergines · 03/03/2016 18:48

Really?

Not a middle class question, but a stupid one.

Katenka · 03/03/2016 18:48

Hhahhahhahha very funny. No one in Their right mind would massage a child.

Creampastry · 03/03/2016 18:48

That's not middle class, it's stupidity

WipsGlitter · 03/03/2016 18:50

Why is that middle class? The chavviest person I know dies this sort of thing with her daughter.

I agree it's doubtful anyone would massage a child anyway.

BonitaFangita · 03/03/2016 18:50

Don't know Polly, you could try SS? They might take an interest Hmm

BackforGood · 03/03/2016 18:50

Agree, that's not middle class. It's just odd.

HitsAndMrs · 03/03/2016 18:50

She's a minor so most places wouldn't do it. I wouldn't. (Beauty therapist) although you can book pamper parties where they do hair, manicure/pedicure.

BeaufortBelle · 03/03/2016 18:51

I think there might be people who live under the famous bridges who's do it.

pollyandme · 03/03/2016 18:51

Deranged? Oh. I honestly thought it was just horribly pretentious.

Yes, she's 6. She's always loved massages - since a baby. I give her back rubs often and she loves them, but as I'm a single working mum of two they don't last very long and frankly I'm shit at it.

So I thought a proper back massage would be a lovely birthday present for her - followed by tea just her and I for once.

We don't have a pony. [Breathes proper, working class sigh of relief.]

pollyandme · 03/03/2016 18:53

Is it weird? Really?

ExplodingCarrots · 03/03/2016 18:53

I'm a massage therapist. All places I've worked have had a 16+ policy .

ExplodingCarrots · 03/03/2016 18:54

I think it's a bit strange op, sorry

Wheresthattomoibabber · 03/03/2016 18:54

The woman I go to at neals yard does massage for children - I think it's a lovely idea and my 6 yr old DS would love it! Best to just ring a few and ask.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 03/03/2016 18:54

Beauty therapists aren't insured for children under 14 or 16. Which was the tactic I used to wrestle the local beauty parlour's massage voucher out of DS hands when he won it in the school raffle...

Try a yoga group, or mindfulness for kids?

Wheresthattomoibabber · 03/03/2016 18:55

Neals yard in Bristol btw. Think it depends on the type of massage.

Yes a massage for a little girl is slightly weird no place would offer pamper sessions like that I don't think

MrsJayy · 03/03/2016 18:58

The reason she like s it is mummy ia doing it it is bonding she might hate somebody else touching her
