Reading the threads and sometimes the usernames are very funny! Mine is exceedingly dull; I'd just found out I was pregnant and had a question for the pregnancy board - hence being scared and new.

Tonight (whilst waiting for said baby to go the F to sleep!) I am laughing at needascarfformygiraffe.

So indulge/entertain a sleep deprived zombie - what's your name and where does it come from?

Oh, but hummus is essential!!

cuntinghomicidalcardigan · 02/03/2016 06:34

I saw mine on a thread where people were discussing how clothes had tried to kill them by catching on doors etc. It made me properly laugh, not least because earlier that

cuntinghomicidalcardigan · 02/03/2016 06:35

Day my sleeve had caught on a door handle spilling hot tea all down me! (Posted too soon as wrestling 16mo ds)

Costacoffeeplease · 02/03/2016 06:39

I know - maybe something subconscious about being anonymous and unidentifiable Blush Grin

It took me forever to get yours, Dixie! Grin

I also like OvO now that I've realised what it is! Slow!

Millionsmom · 02/03/2016 06:51

My original name had came about because all the good names were taken.
In desperation I put down the first thing I saw, my hairylegs and then added my age at the time, 47. My DD1 told me anything deemed hairy was a troll and adding a number was merely confirming it!
So I changed it to a mix of one of her user nn and what I am, her mom. Hence millionsmom. I'm also, gasp, 3 years older now!!!!!

I particularly like these NN
Eatshitanddiederek
Anyfucker
MrsTerryPratchett

Prob misspelled them, sorry to the afore mentioned MNers.

Grin
Catnuzzle · 02/03/2016 06:51

I had lurked for a while and finally registered as I had been incensed by something and HAD to put my tuppence worth down in writing.
I sat for about half an hour trying to think of something brilliant (SirChenJin was one that stood out for me and I got it straight away oh yes ).
Then my cat headbutted nuzzled me. Job done. 🐱

MilleniumTalcum · 02/03/2016 06:58

Mine is Star Wars based. Because I'm a giant nerd...

MilleniumTalcum · 02/03/2016 06:59

EatShitDerek is my fave. It's from a funny movie too Smile

EmpressOfTheVulvaCupcakes · 02/03/2016 07:02

I started off as EmpressOfTheSevenOceans, after one of my favourite books, then kept Empress & change the rest according to mood / season / whatever's going on.

I like Fanjoforthemammaries, StarlightMckenzie, Zombie & Anyfucker.

DaphneWhitethigh · 02/03/2016 07:07

Mine's from Round the Horne, which I'm listening to on iPlayer radio app at the moment. I desperately wanted DameCeliaMolestrangler but apparently it's a) taken Sad b) by someone who's never even posted using it Angry (I guess she might have posted in chat or deleted threads)

Kraggle · 02/03/2016 07:10

Mine is from the Lego Movie

MagicalHamSandwich · 02/03/2016 07:15

It's based on the moment I learned critical thinking. My dad had this insane hypothesis involving a ham sandwich which was supposed to stay fresh if placed under a cardboard pyramid because ... vibrations and stuff.

Seeing his experiment predictably fail taught me a lesson for life: no matter how strong your belief is, it's no use when the facts don't agree. You're still wrong!

FithColumnist · 02/03/2016 07:16

It's a pun on "fifth columnist", because I'm a man on a majority-women site. FITH is an acronym you'll just have to google Grin

WhispersOfWickedness · 02/03/2016 07:17

My original name was one that I used on a website when I was younger, I decided after a while that I was too old and mature to use it, so changed to this one Grin
This one is a quote from a children's book about a cat, I love cats and the author must too because the stories and pictures are a perfect example of life with a cat Smile

SurferJet · 02/03/2016 07:25

Mine is in honour of the suffragettes. ( could never spell suffragette )

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 02/03/2016 07:29

I used to be hotfuzzra and mainly gave out police based advice! Then I went on a career break and didn't want to be disingenuous about my now-old job.

Current nn inspired by having received several beautiful cardigans for Christmas when DD was less than a month old.
I washed them all.
They were cashmere....!
Now they'll fit DD when she's about 7. Grin

SirChenJin (or similar, sorry!) took me a while to get. I love the punny ones, or the spoonerisms. Also love the Harry Potter ones [geek]

FishWithABicycle · 02/03/2016 07:30

Presumably it's obvious that my username is from the famous quote "a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle"

My favourite mn usernames are the Spoonerism ones like squutternutbosch and surlycue but I've never been able to think of a funny one that hasn't already been done.

RatOnnaStick · 02/03/2016 07:32

Mine is in homage to Terry Pratchett. It's a Dwarfs version of sausage inna bun.

TheRightThingToDo · 02/03/2016 07:36

A favourite sound bite of David Camermon

CrabbitArse · 02/03/2016 07:38

Mine's not clever at all Blush
I am a grumpy cow so it's very appropriate though!

HisBowtieIsReallyACamera · 02/03/2016 07:39

A line from my favourite song - points to anyone who can name it!

SurferJet · 02/03/2016 07:42

America ( think that's what it's called? ) - great song.

BathshebaDarkstone · 02/03/2016 07:42

Mine is an RPG character.

I love FanjofortheMammaries.
