OP posts:
tiredandhungryalways · 26/02/2016 07:18

Ds 1 2.2 years dd currently feeding at 8 months

toptomatoes · 26/02/2016 07:32

11 months,
4 months mix-fed with high calorie formula and a feeding tube,
22 months

AllMyBestFriendsAreMetalheads · 26/02/2016 07:41

DD was 4, DS is almost 2 and still going strong. There was an overlap but DD was barely feeding by then so it was manageable.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 26/02/2016 07:42

I'm another one who carried on after going back to work, went back at ten months, BF morning and night till 2 years 9 months when I realised it had just become habit and a token gesture so stopped offering. I never expressed, DD wouldn't take a bottle.

furryleopard · 26/02/2016 07:46

I'm still going at 17 months with DD she's showing no signs of giving up and it really doesn't bother me. The only person that's ever said anything is my DM for some reason she thinks it's strange that I'm still going (she said people thought she was weird for doing 6 months with us). I simply ignore her not quite sure why cows milk is acceptable but mine brewed especially for DD is not.

1pink4blue · 26/02/2016 07:46

Ds1 2weeks
Ds2 24 hours he refused the breast but took a bottle
Ds3 5 weeks
Ds4 26 months i tried to tandem feed Ds4 and Dd but i couldnt do it
Dd 1 yesterday still feeding
Ds4 and Dd wouldnt take a bottle
Dd still wont use a bottle or beaker

LaLaLaaaa · 26/02/2016 07:46

Still going at 7 months. He's a very fussy feeder though so I have to give bottle of EBM outside the house as he won't feed in public. Hated bf at the start but I now don't want to stop

Wishfulmakeupping · 26/02/2016 07:49

Dd until 18 months she'd lost interest by then.
Ds is only 11 weeks feeding well so will be happy to feed until he's ready to stop that could be past 2 years I'm happy to carry on if he wants to.

CMOTDibbler · 26/02/2016 07:50

23 months, and I went back to work ft at 4.5 months. I expressed at work for a year.

LikeSilver · 26/02/2016 07:54

DD - 6 months and then mixed fed but she preferred bottle by 8 months

DS - have just stopped at 13 months (he fed morning and night only for a while but is no longer fussed).

I'd have been quite happy to go to age 2 but both of mine had other ideas! Another one with a DM who said 'are you STILL breastfeeding?' every time she saw me though.

Twine88 · 26/02/2016 07:58

Ds 16 months
Dd 20 months

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/02/2016 08:04

Exclusively BF for 6 weeks. Then mixed fed until 12 weeks. But I wasn't pumping enough and my milk supply stopped, so she was formula fed from 12 weeks onwards

SomedayMyPrinceWillCome · 26/02/2016 08:06

2 hrs

SomedayMyPrinceWillCome · 26/02/2016 08:07

2 years (not 2 hours), thanks autocorrect

MagratsFlyawayHair · 26/02/2016 08:07

DD until 14 months - I reduced feeds on return to work and it killed of the feeding altogether.

DS until 12 months - he became a buyer and I found it intolerable.

MagratsFlyawayHair · 26/02/2016 08:07

*biter

YerTiz · 26/02/2016 08:09

20 months

And 22 months.

I was ready to stop then and it went quite smoothly!

justwondering72 · 26/02/2016 08:10

Ikeameatballs · 26/02/2016 08:15

9 months for dd
5 years for ds

happytocomply · 26/02/2016 08:18

Currently feeding a 9 month old. Planning to continue when I return to work next month and nice to read lots of comments that it should be straightforward.

SuiGeneris · 26/02/2016 08:19

DS1:23 months, weaned because I was 5 months' pregnant and had v tender nipples.

DS2: 27 months. Gave up in the hope he would start sleeping longer than 2 hours in a row. He did not and now at nearly 4 would still like milk from time to time (he does understand there is none left).

Fieryfighter · 26/02/2016 08:20

Dd1 till a week before his 4th birthday, dd2 stopped by himself around 2

WaitrosePigeon · 26/02/2016 08:22

DS 18 months
DD 16 months
