To wish minecraft had NEVER BEEN INVENTED?

Just as Ds1 gets bored of it, ds2 gets hooked.

Years and years of hearing about the bloody thing, having to look at the latest creation, being nagged to "join" only to have arrows fired at me and the lovely things I build blown up with TNT.

AND to make matters WORSE - the fucking YouTube videos where they watch someone else play and yak all the way through it.

PISS OFF MINECRAFT. JUST PISS OFF!

Just mentioned my son's love of Minecraft to one of the school Dads, who is a secondary school teacher.

He said I need to get him out of it, pronto. There's a Minecraft club at his school and they're all the kids who'll never get a girlfriend due to an unhealthy interest in obsidian.

Arghh I'm listening to ds watching youtube DanTDM videos atm.

Still it's a break from FNAF and the endless conversations about Freddy fazbear, Chica, animatronics and jump scares. They started off looking quite cuddly and now by FNAF 5 look like something out of a Stephen King novel.

Dd is sitting beside me watching kids opening presents?

I dont mind Stampy. At least he does not swear unlike pewdiepie who drives me round the bend .

Not so relaxing when ds is screeching because creepers are ruining his constructions.

DS' other love is Minecraft song parodies. He can spend ages watching them . tbh I'm amazed at how creative they are. They must take so much time to rewrite the lyrics, record it, make a Minecraft video, etc.

Those and TF2s.

It really amuses me that DS ends up listening to music he'd never listen to otherwise. Including classical music.

Oh yes, Pewdiepie is banned in this house, after DS1 watched a video of his and DS2 spent all afternoon swearing at use after he overheard it. DS1 was shocked that people swear on YouTube, even when it's a kid's game they are talking about. I have filters enabled too but it slipped through.

Thank goodness soggybiscuit - DH and I are horribly addicted to it, I feel guilty about playing after DS in bed which is almost every night.

We play in survival though and I'm hoping we'll get bored once we kill the Enderdragon - fingers crossed.

But I do agree with you OP (for different reasons), yes I wish it had never been invented....

I love mine craft I think it encourages kids to be creative and doesn't involve graphic gory violence or unsuitable themes.

I also like stampy. I find him irritating on his own but with squashie and/or squid the banter can be funny and is always swear free.

Ours went through an atlanticcraft phase and that drove me nuts. We had to stop that as it (and DS) got too sweary.

I can't play to save my life but i have a secret addiction to watching hermitcraft videos although it's not as much fun since slip and zuejin left.

Currently listening to some inane couple youtubers and she sounds like Katy Perry in the Friday Night video.

Minecraft is a wonderful invention for people of all ages to express themselves creatively, don't hate the game. If it is the youtubers that annoy you, get a pair of headphones and you don't have to worry

Some of us have such rotten motion sickness we can't play it.
