I'm loving the Maybelline Satin touch foundation at the moment. I have other far more expensive ones like Chanel etc but this one shits all over them from a great height. Possibly because of the exact colour match but the consistency is undetectable even with a X10 mirror in strong sunlight yet gives really good coverage so that's a keeper!

There's a peachy coloured Boujois blush (little round pot) that I keep going back to. Makes me look alive and 10 years younger with a pop of that. Perfect colour for my warm light colouring.

Lancome brow gel in Auburn makes a huge difference - gives brown definition without the scary scouse brow look and adds warmth to my very neutral eyebrows and makes my honey blonde hair not seem too light for the brows because it adds warmth which gives context to the hair if that makes sense.

Kevin Acoyne sculpting powder and cadlelight for a bit of contour and highlight

i use a House of Colour Dual Foundation powder for powder, in Light Beige which was chosen for me by my House of Colour consultant, it's perfect. Just a bit of that over the foundation or instead of if I'm not bothered.

I've got a NYC correcting concealer which I use the dark peach one for under my eyes if they are looking blue and shadowy - it does a better job of covering it than just normal concealer for some reason (colour wheel no doubt). Sometimes use the green if my nose is looking red but I actually find the peach good for that too.

I have lash extensions (not scary spidery ones, but light silk ones) so I don't need mascara or eyeliner, but I do sometimes use a brown mascara on the bottom lashes .

My fave eyeshadow palette is one by The Balm called Nude Tude, and I do a bit of shading with that sometimes. Often I don't wear eyeshadow, or I just do a sweep of Becca Rose Gold powder over them, which I bought as a highlighter but doesn't work for me as that, but makes a nice eyelid colour.

I do have a really nice Becca eye palette too in brown neutrals which is great for doing a natural eye, and has a dark brown that I would use for a smokey eye if I were to do one.

There's loads more though. I go through stages of watching makeup videos by Lisa Aldridge and some others that seem to result in me having a buying spree but I know what suits me having had my "colours done" so I know what to avoid.

-Perfekt skin perfection gel - never seen this mentioned anywhere on here but it's the best base I've ever used, doesn't need primer or concealer. Can't recommend it highly enough, can get it beauty bay.
-Clinique neutral powder + MAC brush
-Rimmel black eyeliner twist up one so I don't need a sharpener
-shu Umura eyelash curlers
-smashbox eyeshadow palette
-random blusher from free gifts
-smashbox eyebrow pencil - cursed with dark hair and blonde eyebrows and lashes
-Tweezers
-maybelline mascara, I fill a suitcase with it when I'm in America, the one they sell here just isn't the same.

I have a chest of drawers full of make-up but this is the stuff I wear on make-up days

Nars Illuminator (Orgasm)

Loreal Telescopic Carbon Black mascara - old favourite!

Cheapo black kohl eyeliner (think its from Boots) and Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen for flicky eyeliner

A creamy coloured liner from Body Shop for lining inner corners of eyes for definition

YSL Dessin Des Levres lipliner in a couple of shades, and Clinique Chubby sticks in various complimentary shades

I dont really do eyeshadow much, but have some nice metallic ones from Bobbi Brown for nights out.

Last time I looked I think there was a lipstick, mascara, blusher and two eye shadows.

I'm not really sure cos I only wear make up about once a year (sometimes less often) and dd nicked my make up bag ages ago.

Mine is a washbasin stuffed full will mostly bourjois eyeshadows. They have mostly been used only a couple of times.

Make up makes my face itch, so last week I decided to chuck away anything with paraben preservatives in (that is what I am allergic to). The wash bag is by the front door, ready to go in the wheelie bin. I haven't managed to do it yet.

I now only have a modest amount of Aveda and Un make up left.

FYI, Bourjois eyeshadows are now paraben free, but I bought mine before they reformulated.

Shadows matte is my absolute favourite! But the AG MAC lipstick is definitely a massive let down for me. It wears away horribly, is drying, bleeds horribly and all sorts. Not impressed at all!

  • Mac studio fix foundation (not at all good for my skin but I've paid for it so I'm using it).
  • Mac kohl eyeliner
  • Rimmel grey eyeliner that I use for my eyebrows (it doesn't look weird, honest - my wedding make up artist showed me a trick with it)
  • Yves touché éclat (gift!)

  • Collection 2000 eyeshadow in purple

A BB or tinted moisturiser Borjois
Blusher
Lippy

If I am going out I do use mascara, but less & less as it always smudges.
The older I get the less make up I use.
In fairness my skin is so much better now.

I have no make up at all. Last time I wore some (other than child doing it on me) was dsis wedding nearly 20 years ago.

However the dc all have make up bags. Dd1 (15yo) has foundation (creamy), blusher and various shades of purple eye shadow and a couple of lip sticks.
Dd2 (and 12yo) has powdery foundation, sparkly eye shadow, blusher in three shades, four lipsticks (two sparkly) and a pencil thing.
Ds(age 8yo) has cream foundation, blusher and lipstick. We did have a discussion whether he wanted some mascara and he decided not (can't stand it myself, but he was wondering whether to try it. Out loud. In the queue. Very loudly! Got some very strange looks)

However they only wear it on stage (even dd1)

I currently use bare minerals so foundation, warmth and mineral veil (three powders) as my base.

Bought benefit dandelion blusher but I'm not overly impressed. It's in my make up bag to be used up. Should've went for one of their blushers with more than one shade.

I have a few eyeliner pencils and swap between black/plum, with a thicker black bare minerals pencil liner for nights out.

Mascara - Benefit They're Real. Still not found a mascara I love but this will do for now.

A lovely bare minerals assistant suggested one of the eyeshadows for brow definition so I use 'mud' - which is fine unless I make a mess of applying it. Not always good at staying in the lines, as it were!

I like the bare minerals lip glosses, marvellous moxie. Have rebel and spark plug as neutral shades for everyday. Find they can be very sticky though so only usually wear them with my hair up so my hair doesn't get blown into my lipgloss! Also recently bought a Gosh lipstick which I like, Matt smoothie, though lipstick often dries my lips so I tend to stick to glosses.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I wore makeup! About a week ago I cleared out my makeup bag and frankly it scared me...there were eye shadows in there that were older than the "stars" of Made in Chelsea ConfusedThe only thing I kept was a Benefit mascara..

It's a shrine to Avon

yep. Me too. I'm so impressed at everyone else's bags...even my make-up bag itself is Avon.

I am stupidly pale and freckly so I find the only thing that works for me is concealer (strangely I'm using Rimmel - I must have had a moment!), powder and mascara (using Soap & Glory at the moment that came with the Xmas gift pack!). I have yet to find a foundation that works for me but will happily take recommendations - I am too intimidated by the women in Debenhams or Boots to ask!

Other than that, I have every colour of lipstick and lipgloss that exists - and they all look awful on me!
