What's in your makeup bag ladies?

Which foundation do you use? And do you wear makeup everyday?

Embroidery, I have very pale, pink, dry skin too. It's taken me years to find the right foundation. Mac foundation always seems to have a bit of a yellow tone on my skin. Benefit is too white toned - when I tried the palest Benefit foundation I looked like a porcelain doll version of myself. And I definitely need the palest shade available. Both clump on the dry skin on my forehead, making me look like I'm a leper.

Diorskin Forever is perfect. It's a bit pricey, but a 30ml bottle literally lasts me a year. It makes my skin look all dewy and radiant. Plus the available colours are very accurate. I was to pick up some for my Mum recently, but couldn't get in to the shop myself. I just looked at the options online, emailed the one I picked to DP, and sent him to go and buy it. It was an absolute perfect match for my Mum.

My sister was a die hard Mac foundation fan, until she tried my Dior. Then she too immediately switched. It really is amazing.

BlushBlush I sound like I'm advertising the stuff. I just swear by it.

RobbStark, do you use the Urban Decay setting spray? I love that stuff! I could, in theory, put on a full face of make up on a Saturday night, sleep on it, and wake up with it still perfect on Sunday morning may have done that once or twice Grin

Also, if you like plum lipstick, you need Mac Boyfriend Stealer. It's a lovely deep berry colour. But more of a creamy finish than a matte. I adore a matte lipstick, but they can be very hard to wear and can look very dry on one's lips. Boyfriend Stealer is so easy to wear, I've been wearing it a few times a week since I got it.

I have way too much make up to list, but this is my day-to-day make up at the minute.
Make up Atelier primer
Laura Mercier Camoflage
Dior Skin foundation
YSL Touché Eclat
Need to buy more Dior Powder...
Bobbi Brown eyebrow palette
Benefit cream pot eyeshadow- love these, have a few colours. Otherwise Dior Trio eyeshadow
Bourgois eye pencil
Diorshow mascara
Gorgeous blusher from make up pro store, can't remember name though
Rimmel lip gloss

Shadows I do actually! I got a miniature version of the setting spray when I purchased vice 4 and I love it!

I'll definitely have to check out boyfriend stealer. I bought the new MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande lipstick last week although I love the colour I'm quite disappointed in it as a whole Sad

It's magical stuff, RobbStark. I mean, not that I'm a lazy arse who would wear make up for two days, once it remained in place Wink. It's the most important thing in my make up bag.

Boyfriend Stealer is amazing, I'm getting so much use out of it. Just looked up the Viva Glam Ariana. It's matte. I love a matte lipstick, but it can be so hard to wear. Really drying and bleeds a lot.

MAC Studio-fix foundation
Maybelline loose powder
Benefit high beam highlighter
Benefit they're real mascara
Rimmel eyebrow pencil
Soap and glory peach blusher pallete
Urban Decay blusher/highlighter/bronzer pallete
x4 Soap and Glory lipsticks
Vaseline lip balm (the pink one)
Simple Moisturiser
A couple of Real Techniques brushes

I didn't bother with make-up at all really until I got horrendous cystic acne a couple of years ago and then couldn't stand to leave the house without it. My acne has now gone but i'm left with some minor scarring, unevenness etc so still feel too self conscious to go to work/socialise make up free . Can someone who knows about these things explain Primer to me? I'm seeing it mentioned a lot but not exactly sure what it's for! I'm very pale so not sure if it's one of those things I should avoid as it'll make me look orange.

Oh dear I have a shameful amount. But in my defence I have absolutely rank skin (greasy, blemishes, big pores) and even if my skin was ok I have the sort of face that is unremarkable as a blank canvas but transforms to "pretty" with make up. Wear a full face every day though sometimes a toned down version for work (though this still includes primer, foundation, powder, eyeliner, mascara and lip balm). So. ..
Eye cream, primer (cheap one as more effective on oily skin), tinted moisturiser (wear add an alternative to foundation when doing sport), foundation (Estee Lauder Double Wear, omg if you like full coverage this is amazing), pressed powder (Double Wear again), concealer (cheap Barbara Daly one).
Blusher (Lancome), highlighter (Benefit High Beam).
Powder eyeshadow, cream eyeshadow (as an alternative), white eyeliner (worn at inner corners - really opens up the eye), liquid eyeliner (Rimmel), Benefit push up eyeliner (but rarely wear this as it's thick and gunky a pain to apply and hard to get off if you make a mistake), Benefit They're Real mascara (fantastic but hard to clean off so don't wear everyday), no 7 velvet touch mascara (for everyday), Younique 3D mascara (another special occasion one).
Lip balm, lipliner, 2 lipsticks, clear lip plumping gloss (Soap & Glory ' s Sent Mother pucker - this is amazing!!!)
Mini perfume spray (sample size), eyelash glue, pencil sharpener (for eye/lip pencils), mini mirror, various assorted buttons and oddments I mean to sort out.
Honestly, it's jam packed but the bag itself is quite small.
I have more stuff on my dressing table at home for occasional wear (false lashes, other lipsticks, waterproof versions for swimming etc).
But now going to have to but Urban Decay spray and Boyfriend Stealer lippie after reading about it above.
I knew is shallow and vain but I hate not wearing make up. Feel naked and miserable without it.

So many different lipglosses and lipsticks. Cruise by Nars, Matt coral gloss by Chanel are two favourites at the moment.

honey it is not shallow and vain to enjoy wearing make up, why do you think that?

If make up makes us feel a stronger more confident version of ourselves that's a good thing.

yorksha primer is applied after moisturiser but before foundation. It gives something for the foundation to 'sit on' and helps it last longer and look better.

I used to have loads but then I got the fear about chemicals on my skin so

Botanicals BB Cream
Organic eyeliner
YSL eyeshadow palette (leftover from about 3 years ago)
Korres Lip gloss
Green People pressed powder, which is the best I have ever used
Organic mascara (can't remember the brand)

And other than a bright red YSL lipstick for very occasional vampy nights that is it. I am lucky with my skin but I have to say streamlining has been a relief.

I only wear makeup if I am going out or to work.

Smashbox primer, Estée Lauder double wear foundation, no 7 eye shadow, Max factor mascara, no 7 pressed powder, bourjois bronzer and juicy tubes lip gloss.

I wear it every day. My skin is awful so I would never go out without foundation.
