You do know that Bond was originally described as looking rather like Hoagy Carmichael. Go and Google what he looked like. I doubt any of you want a Bond who looks like that and I can't think of many actors who do look like that.

But if "Bond is not blonde - fact", Idris Elba sure as hell doesn't look like Hoagy Carmichael either - fact.

I haven't seen any films with Clive Owen-not-Dunn, but Google's done a great job of convincing me! Classically good-looking, entirely credible as a hardened serviceman, and I've just seen him displaying ferocious aggression while ... eating a carrot. Torturing insane baddies should come easy!

Delighted to see the Hiddleston love ramped up a notch. He is too nice but I think he could act the part of menacing, brooding, troubled spy if needed. Maybe just a private performance for me?

Clive Owen is already in his fifties so I sadly fear that the Bond franchise has missed the boat in casting him.

I have said, do say and will say again tho that it should've been him over Daniel Craig. A million times over.

I would think no young GOOD actor would really want it, because basically that's you done for 10 years or so. DC has obv sold his soul and regrets it. So you're looking for older/good/up for it
