To think that Victoria Beckham looks plain daft?

She's in New York to launch her latest collection and has been papped strutting out of hotels in some dreadful outfits. All can be viewed in the Daily Mail but for those of you who don't like to click I will post a few and you can tell me if I'm BU.

I like them all except the boots.

GruntledOne · 12/02/2016 19:57

and clearly hurt as she never smiles.

You mean, she rarely smiles when she's being papped. I don't think I would either.

hauntedhenry · 12/02/2016 19:57

I think she looks great.

Grilledaubergines · 12/02/2016 19:57

It's her style, and I hope she couldn't give a shit about rude comments. She'd have a field day with me, boring top to toe Next because I have no imagination and have turned into the person who says "it washes well" and so buys the same thing in 5 colours!

I actually think in more recent years, just about anything goes. If you like it, you wear it.

MissFlight · 12/02/2016 19:57

Op it is MN law, thou shalt not slate VB Grin
Personally I think yanbu

Tangfastics · 12/02/2016 20:02

I initially thought they were all OK (bar the boots), but I admit the more I look the more the too long sleeves are annoying me!

midsomermurderess · 12/02/2016 20:04

I rather like some of those eg the culottes and the coat and trousers.

bakeoffcake · 12/02/2016 20:16

"I also admire her parenting. I have seen headlines regarding the elder one but I think they have done a good job of shielding their DC from the media. Can't be easy for them raising their DC as well as maintaining a high profile publicly"

What a load of rubbish, her kids are in the press a huge amount. They are always parading them in front of the press.

Poppiesway · 12/02/2016 20:19

I quite like that chunky grey jumper. I think I need it to go with my jeans..
At least she's getting wear out of those boots.. I'm don't need those though ;)

FarrowandBallAche · 12/02/2016 20:19

She looks fab.

Maudofallhopefulness · 12/02/2016 20:22

Don't last me the red trousers but the rest is quite nice.

FindoGask · 12/02/2016 20:25

Not my style but she looks far form ridiculous and I think she's really pretty. Who cares if she doesn't smile for the camera.

SinglePringle · 12/02/2016 20:30

I like all the outfits bar the jumper with the huge arms. I think she's got great style. In fact, I was wearing a calf length pleated skirt, cashmere polo neck and heeled boots very similarly just yesterday... Got some flares similar to those n'all. Must dig them out.

TwatMagnet · 12/02/2016 20:33

OP you might help yourself if you read this post again - posted earlier by Penny

Women dont half like to shit on other women. You didnt get this sort of nonsense in the Nineties. Certainly the Spice Girls "girl power" movement has been dead and buried

Here is a successful business woman, good mother and seemingly quite a well respected person all round and all people want to do is bitch about her

I very much like that you're so in the minority here but given that you still think you're being totally reasonable I'm sure all of this is wasted on you. Get thee back to the Mail - I'm sure it'll be some other woman's turn by now.

echt · 12/02/2016 20:36

The boots are dire, but everything else is OK.

Marcipex · 12/02/2016 20:53

I quite like some of those outfits. Seen a lot worse.

MrsJorahMormont · 12/02/2016 20:54

I like all but the blue outfit.

iPaid · 12/02/2016 20:57

TMagnet - where have I shat on VB? Have I criticised her as a woman, a mother, a businesswoman? I've made comments on her attire, not her physique or her personality. Just her outfit. I said people should tell me if they think I'm being unreasonable, they have. Another day and the responses might have been different.

I do think it's amusing that you think the Spice Girls were about feminism though Grin

Tangfastics · 12/02/2016 21:00

Some people seem intent on spectacularly missing the point.

The op is not bitching about VB, merely commenting on how they don't like her fashion designs.

Crikey, if I said I don't like the clothes in topshop, would you all accuse me of being personally insulting about Philip green??!

CakeNinja · 12/02/2016 21:01

I like what I see of VB which is virtually nothing as i don't read magazines and read a couple of news sites for the headlines. Listen to the news on the radio etc.

I like that she's turned her hand from something which she seems very embarrassed about now (her spice girls days) to something she is passionate about and seems to be very successful in.

I think the clothes would look silly on me as I'm far chunkier in build, they wouldn't hang right on me. But her clothes are aimed at high fashion couture types, not me. The clothes in those photos I quite like, they wouldn't look good on me and they do swamp her but she does seem to like clothes to make her appear tiny - it works!

Good on her, I don't smile on demand either.

BolshierAryaStark · 12/02/2016 21:18

Leave her alone, I'd struggle to smile whilst being papped tbh...
I fucking love too long sleeves!

DinosaursRoar · 12/02/2016 21:21

Bolshier - the long sleeves are looking like they are back. Which is good, as I'm short and I struggle to find sleeves that aren't too long, now I can stop trying.

Cerrone85 · 12/02/2016 21:24

It's winter

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 12/02/2016 21:31

I'd struggle to smile whilst being papped tbh

It's VB's team who assembles them.

AnyFucker · 12/02/2016 21:33

Philip Green does look like a bit of a dick, tbh
