To not know what to call my daughter...

It's been 2 days since we have had her and it's so stressful for me! I want her to have a name and feel bad she doesn't. I have a thread going in Baby Names and hoping that will get a name to jump out at me, but feel bad as DS had a name when we found out his gender.

How long until you found a name?

OP posts:
AcrossthePond55 · 11/02/2016 20:02

Oh no! Not Nancy Grace! At least not in you're in the US!

DieDeutschLehrerin · 11/02/2016 20:03

My daughter is an Esther - we get a lot of positive comments. Miriam is also one of her names - I can see Miriam Grace working, Mimi is a sweet shortening. If I ever had another, I love the name, Aneira. Your children are gorgeous. Congratulations

QuizteamBleakley · 11/02/2016 20:09

Felicity? Shortened to Flick. Fletch & Flick.

Congrats, she's a beauty not broody, not broody...

RoboticSealpup · 11/02/2016 20:10

Congratulations, you have beautiful children! If I have another girl she will be Eva. I met a tiny baby at the GP surgery the other week called Delilah, which I thought was lovely.

Eva Grace
Delilah Grace

I think they both work!

Aww, I feel your pain OP. When I had DS I could not for the life of me think of a name. Thought I'd wait until he was born so I could see what suited him but I was just so indecisive. It took me 6 weeks...and only because I was forced to as I had to register him!

My friend gave me some good advice at the time. She told me I was looking for the perfect name, but that there is no perfect name. Nor can we predict what our chosen name will sound like in the future. At the time she had a one year old DS, and she said that even one year later she would have probably picked a different name. But whatever name I choose, that will just be his name, it will just become a part of him. And it's true...I'm a bit annoyed that a dodgy celebrity couple picked a similar name several years after but DS' name is his name, there's no wrong or right about it! iyswim!

Oh my goodness OP so cute!

I was going to say Natalie as it's my favourite girl's name but now you've said Jasmine, and that it was also your son's suggestion I honestly think that's perfect.

Congratulations by the way!
