The most gigantic "nursery aged" children ever?Hmm

OP posts:
minesapintofwine · 13/02/2016 08:39

I have twin boys so I usually call them 'boys'. If they were b/g I know I would call them 'kids'.

I FUCKING hate Topsy and Tim. Our home life is a polar opposite in every way, thank fuck.

Actually, I can't stand ceebeebies :-D

My dc are just 4 but ceebeebies is very rarely on, give us Bugs Bunny any day

Alidoll · 13/02/2016 09:39

Bruffin - managed to miss that one thankfully (and obviously didn't translate onto the screen well if only one episode commissioned).

It was Woolly and Tig in our household as the wee lassie is just a wee bit older than DD. Must have watched every episode at least 15 times each on iplayer.

Now it's Liv and Maddie, Mako Mermaids and Jessie.

Alidoll
Think you are looking at the wrong programme. It was back in 2000 and 26 episodes. My dc loved it

Housemum · 13/02/2016 10:36

The penny has just dropped about the stupid hair - DD3 (short bobbed hair) nabbed her sister's hair bands and insisted she wanted to go to school with stupid sticky out bunches. I told her no one had hair like that and she told me it was a real style. Well, that'll make a Book Day costume easy for me - 2 hair bands, done :)
She's even the same age (year 3!)

Hollimum · 14/02/2016 08:57

You can get identical boy/girl twins. They are rare, but share exactly the same DNA and fingerprints

TeaT1me · 14/02/2016 10:25

Doesn't dna include the "instructions" for boy or girl then?

Pipbin · 14/02/2016 10:34

No twins share fingerprints. Even clones wouldn't have the same fingerprints.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 14/02/2016 12:26

But they wouldn't look identical as it is caused by a chromosomal abnormality?

BoffinMum · 14/02/2016 12:31

Pipbin, very, very, very occasionally even non-twins share fingerprints .... we make a lot of assumptions about fingerprints being unique based on research carried out a century ago.

rugbychick · 14/02/2016 12:34

The mum was shagging Max Branning. She was a police officer investigating Lucy Beale's death (I should get our more).

Pipbin · 14/02/2016 14:54

Why would anyone have identical fingerprints when no one, not even identical twins have identical faces, teeth, hair etc. Anyone who spends a lot of time with identical twins can tell them apart. Why would their fingerprints be absolutely identical if nothing else is?

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 14/02/2016 16:32

Nothing's ever identical down to the atom, not even the same person's fingerprints on different days. But it's theoretically possible for two unrelated people to have fingerprints that cannot be distinguished using standard forensic techniques, and hence for all practical purposes they'd be "identical".

BoffinMum · 15/02/2016 18:09

Pipbin, when they are matching fingerprints they only look at a certain number of points and then use that to determine likelihood of a match. It is perfectly possible for two people's fingerprints to be so similar that even a skilled operative or machine would struggle to tell them apart to the point at which it would cause problems in court.

The Daily Telegraph ran an interesting article about it.

We're watching it right now. I quite like it. The mother is HOT.

AbernathysFringe · 26/11/2016 23:18

I know this is an oooold thread but I was about to post similar and thought I'd check.
Why can't British children act? What do American ones do differently? Are they just more confident? And also, (just to help with their confidence) I can't stand them! They are so weedy and pathetic.
