Patricia

Thank you. That website also states that's what a 12 week old fetus MAY look like

This is getting confusing. I was replying to the post that said the decapitated baby looked like it had been given birth too

In what part of the world are babies born fully decapitated?

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 15:22

I'm not trying to make anyone's decisions for them I'm just trying to show what is and isn't realistic

No one can make some strangers decision for them that's just silly

Elendon · 05/02/2016 15:25

What I want to know is who is taking these pictures post abortions? Surely this is a medical procedure with patient confidentiality and consent. I'm off a mind to contact my politician about this obvious breach.

twofingerstoGideon · 05/02/2016 15:38

UareWhatUeat Are you being deliberately goady?

Twofingers

I'm being realistic

I haven't told anyone they shouldn't have an abortion I have just stated my view since people assumed I'm religious when I'm not.

I could be on here writing essays on adoption benefits and abortion because of gender etc but I'm not.

That is similar to what a baby looks like

All babies are born with different brith weights and lengths and grow at slightly different paces

Some are born with teeth and hair and some not.

Naturally all 12 week old babies won't look the same but I was trying to point out to the poster who started the thread that it's not disgusting. It's not an alien, it's what they look like. They have arms and legs and features

Again I wouldn't wish either abortion or miscarriage on anyone. It is upsetting to look at but its also a fact of life

Uare have you ever seen a 12 week fetus with your own eyes?
I have it looks nothing like that at all. Nothing.
Why the fuck would you link to a woman hating anti choice website to back up your views.
For fucks sake like they don't make shit up constantly.
They use photos from country's where abortion is illegal so woman are having botched late term abortions.
That is not what a fetus from a normal abortion in Britain would look like.
I find you offensive.

Elendon · 05/02/2016 16:01

Naturally all 12 week old babies won't look the same

At 12 weeks all my three babies were trying to sit up, chewing madly, smiling and communicating, getting into a routine.

Quodlibet · 05/02/2016 16:02

This model of a foetus looks the right size for 14 weeks. A tactic the pro-life lobby use a lot is using images which are further along in gestation than the figure they claim. A picture of a foetus 10 weeks from conception is not the same as a foetus of 10 weeks gestation (which would be 8 weeks from conception, as gestation is dated from first day of the cycle). So they'll say 'this is what it looks like when you are 10 weeks pregnant' and show a picture of a 12 week foetus. And seeing a foetuses double in size every fortnight or so in the early weeks this makes a big difference in perception.

femfortheday · 05/02/2016 16:09

It doesn't matter what it looks like. Whether it looks like the fake doll in the OP, a blob of cells or a 24wk foetus. It doesn't matter. It is still inside a grown woman. A person, who gets to decide what happens to their body and to.their pregnancy.

If you think a woman is allowed to have an abortion only as long as she fits in to your own moral box, then you are anti women. Only raped women should be able to have abortions? Because the rest of the silly tramps should have just keep their legs closed? If you think any foetus is less deserving of living because of the circumstances of its conception, your whole argument is bullshit.

Oh, and the vanishingly small number of women having abortions at 24 weeks aren't doing it because they've just had a change of heart and don't want a baby. The huge majority of abortions are carried out before 10 weeks.

PrinceHansOfTheTescoAisles · 05/02/2016 16:10

I found a very graphic anti abortion leaflet tucked into the table of a train. I think someone had been doing a stealth leafletting campaign but I was a bitShock. .what if my kids had seen that? It was horrible

Dawndonnaagain · 05/02/2016 16:13

It's when people have repeat abortions and use it as a form or birth control then yes I'm against it and I'm not afraid to express that view
Oh fuck off.
I'm not afraid to express my view, either.

gingerboy1912 · 05/02/2016 16:14

That photo looks nothing like a 12 week foetus at all they have made it look like a tiny cute baby to emphasise their point.

ToastDemon · 05/02/2016 16:17

I don't get how the only-for-rape thing would work in practice, anyway. Would that mean only if a conviction is secured? That would be a bit impractical if you were at all squeamish about late-term abortion or indeed infanticide.
Also given that the chance of there even being a trial, let alone a conviction, for reported rape (and bear in mind this doesn't include all the rapes that are not reported to the police) is tiny you'd have a very small number of women indeed granted access to this by-this-stage somewhat overdue service.
Or is this perhaps what the pro-"lifers" have in mind?

Or would the rape criteria be self-reported? In which case anyone who needed an abortion could simply say they were raped.

Thinking it through logically, it's a bit of a nonsense.

Elendon · 05/02/2016 16:21

I'm not afraid to express the view that I think Uare is a goady and insensitive fucker.

Dawndonnaagain · 05/02/2016 16:23

Have you done a reverse image search on any of the pictures Uare? Interestingly, some of those on both lost innocents and other oh so delightful sites are being used by, wait for it, anti abortion sites. Some of them originated on those sites, what a surprise. Ergo, your information is dodgy, too.

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 16:27

And having an unnecessary abortion is doing what exactly.? Being sensitive to an unborn babies needs?

Everyone has different views, I have enjoyed reading other people's without having to resort to insulting them or swearing

There's no need to swear, it's just common as! But that's another view of mine Grin

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 16:30

If you were genuinely raped surely you would love the baby if you had it... but it would be a constant reminder of an awful thing that's happened without your consent

They are called raped victims for a reason!

People who have abortions are just people. Not victims of something they haven't chosen

people who pretend to be raped are plastered across the papers and named and shamed and usually charged with wasting police time

ToastDemon · 05/02/2016 16:33

Uare so do you have any ideas as to how to determine who was genuinely raped, and given the hurdles I've mentioned above, so that someone could have access to abortion in the required timescale? You've not been clear on that.

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 16:33

The majority of photos on lost innocents are babies wrapped in blankets and next to people's personal possessions

As the website says you can email them for further info. Those are people babies not anti abortion pics

ElsaAintAsColdAsMe · 05/02/2016 16:34

I see UareWhatUeat had a woman hating, goady, ill informed twat for breakfast today Hmm
