This is doing the rounds on fb at the moment.

Seriously Hmm

If you have your 20 week scan between 18 to 22 weeks (fully plausible) then you still have to undertake the amnio, wait for results, (an amnio can take up to four weeks as mine did to come through), wait for a bed to be available and have two doctors sign off on the fact. It's very plausible that it could take longer than four weeks to get a formal diagnosis alone, let alone undertake the termination.

Highsteaks · 05/02/2016 14:09

Surely if something is going to be picked up the latest is at the 20 wk anomaly scan.

I don't think k someone goes for their 20 week scan (which isn't always bang on 20 weeks anyway), gets told there is something very wrong, and then make an on the spot decision about whether to terminate, do they?

To show that the miscarried babies and the abortion babies do look similar

Those are people's real children they have lost and those are real abortion pics

They are real. Not made up

That original pic could be fake... but it if the real miscarried babies and the aborted babies pics are almost the same... then the reality is that that is what babies look like, they have arms and legs and expressions. Not just a bunch of cells!

crumblybiscuits · 05/02/2016 14:14

UareWhatUeat
Their eyelids are also fused shut, their skin see through and bone non-existent. The list of what isn't formed is much larger than what is.

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:17

The lost innocents website also states if they think the baby looks smaller, Younger or older for dates. It's a guessing game sometimes not everyone knows exactly when they conceived.

Sadly it is real. Miscarriage is real

All the excuses in the world doesn't change the fact that babies are babies. Some develop and some don't.

As I said please don't look if you have had an abortion

Elendon · 05/02/2016 14:18

Uare Could be fake? It is fake. And the rest of your post is spurious.

Highsteaks · 05/02/2016 14:19

I still don't get your point? No one said 12 weeks foetuses were just a bunch of cells?

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:20

Crumbly

There is no set guideline for which parts of a baby develop and which don't

As I said previously. that pic could be fake, it could be a much older baby. It could be wax. Who knows! That other link was to a dodgy page

but real miscarried babies do look similar to aborted babies. Sadly!

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:21

To other people

Feel free to post some pics to back up what you are saying then and I shall have a look

Highsteaks · 05/02/2016 14:22

That other link was to a dodgy page

Are you talking about Snopes?

Still don't get what you are saying? Miscarriage is real? No shit. Confused

Elendon · 05/02/2016 14:22

Uare. You're not sad about this at all. Have you said your angelus today?

Error404UserNotFound · 05/02/2016 14:27

but real miscarried babies do look similar to aborted babies. Sadly!

What the fuck difference do you think there is between an aborted foetus and a miscarried one!? Seriously, do you think one looks different to the other? A twelve week foetus is a twelve week foetus regardless of whether it was aborted or miscarried.

In medical terminology a miscarriage is often referred to as a spontaneous abortion. Also terminations and medically-assisted miscarriages are done using the same procedures.

I took pills to speed things along when i had a miscarriage at four months and a few months later got into an online debate about "the abortion pill" and it's long lasting effects. The person trashing it kept saying that it causes infertility and uterine cancer and future birth defects and so on. I commented that I'd taken it to manage a miscarriage and that none of those were listed on the consent form as side effects therefore their claims were bullshit. The poster responded "but you took it for a miscarriage, that's different, these side effects don't apply to you only to people using it for abortion."

You can't argue with that sort of warped logic.

Error404UserNotFound · 05/02/2016 14:28

Yes! Let's all post pictures of aborted and miscarried foetuses. That'll while away an otherwise boring afternoon....

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:30

It's not about religion as I said previously. The religious argument is just a cop out

People were upset at the original photo. Stating that it's disgusting.

But there are websites that show what actual 12 week aborted/ miscarried babies look like for anyone brave enough to face the truth and not just dismiss it

That other snopes link was dodgy so I'm still waiting to read if it was made from wax or real

purpose of using them in schools and pregnancy centers to educate prospective mothers - did anybody else notice this? So they agree this is not a realistic representation, but explain that they use this doll that looks nothing like a real 12-week fetus to mislead and scare prospective mothers? Ah well, that's ok then Hmm

Uare, there was a statement from the artist clearly saying that it is wax. You have had several people here tell you it is fake.

It is a fake.

are you on glue?

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:34

Error

People think the abortion pics online are fake

If the abortion pics are fake then surely the miscarriage pics are fake too?

Why don't you email them to ask whether they actually suffered a miscarriage? I'm sure they will reply

Btw I'm not completely against abortion. If someone was raped or there is a medical reason then I think it's ok

It's when people have repeat abortions and use it as a form or birth control then yes I'm against it and I'm not afraid to express that view

I'm also not religious in the slightest

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:37

Can you post a link that works to let me read that it's fake

Fair enough if it's fake but there are 12 week old babies people have lost that look similar to that

I haven't said it's not fake. I can't open the page to read it since it's a dodgy page

UareWhatUeat · 05/02/2016 14:39

Back up what you are saying please otherwise it's just like reading the opinion of someone who worked in a mysterious peads department somewhere, it's all hearsay

Highsteaks · 05/02/2016 14:41

Btw I'm not completely against abortion. If someone was raped or there is a medical reason then I think it's ok

Ah, so you believe that the inherent value of a foetus's life depends solely on how it was conceived? It's not.the foetuses fault if.it was conceived by rape, why is its life worth less than one that was conceived via consensual sex?

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/02/2016 14:42

Just google "snopes 12 week fetus"

crumblybiscuits · 05/02/2016 14:44

UareWhatUeat
So eyewitness personal accounts of fetuses do not count?
