www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3413566/Port-Calais-closed-migrants-storm-harbour-make-Spirit-Britain-ferry-desperate-bid-reach-UK.html

This is just getting ridiculous now. France need to take this problem to the EU and ask for help dealing with it immediately. It has gone on for too long and needs to stop.

I don't know what the answer is. I think the UK should take anyone under 18, and their family members. Other than that, everyone else should have to apply for asylum in France or risk arrest. Not a perfect solution, but the only one I have.

There will need to be a white man killed before the politicians will do anything.

They've been quite clear that women are dispensable. Angry

She let them in so Germany would have plenty of gastarbeiters. Germanies seriously low birth rate means something needs to be done - so she acted in Germany's best interest, as she always does. Nothing wrong with that!

If Merkel was genuinely interested in solving the Syrian refugee problem she would have committed more money to the camps in neighbouring countries like Jordan and Turkey. As much as I detest Cameron and the Tories we paid around the 4 billion mark to that end. More that than the entire EU combined.

batshitlady · 26/01/2016 11:18

But Merkel is doing Germany a long-term service, (in her own mind anyway) wandringminds.

Germany has a very worryingly low birth rate. [I think the lowest of all developed countries?] It needs cheap labour now and in the future, even more so, for its vast manufacturing sector. That's what this is about -- nothing more...If Merkel wanted to solve the refugee crisis there are far more effective ways to do so.

Why encourage only those that are strong and fit enough to make the punishingly perilous journey all the way from the M.E to Germany? Because those that make it, will be fit, strong and male enough to work hard and for less than their German equivalent....

batshitlady · 26/01/2016 11:19

Oh crap. Sorry, 2 posts crossed wires!

Tamponlady · 26/01/2016 11:22

Op you will not be brand d a racist I think the most hard supporter can now see this is not tenable

I read yesterday in the paper that Kent children's services may go bust because of the amount of unaccompanied minors they have to take they can disperse them round the uk but they still have to fund the placements

And many foster carers will not take them because of the prevalence or migrants pretending to be 15 when they are in deed 20+ Kent then have to accomeadte them in children's homes witch costs double the amount of FC

I I have now read this morning a worker in one of the children's homes in Sweden has been stabbed by the "children"

They won't stay on France as they do bone density tests to make sure children and just that in the we rely on a check list and trust

Tamponlady · 26/01/2016 11:24

*Merkel is the German Tony Blair - and in 10/15 years time Germany will be experiencing the consequences of uncontrolled mass immigration. I suspect it will not be pretty

^^ This.

The sad thing is, the governments seemed to have no idea that assimilation of such large numbers in short time would be an issue.

Maybe if they had done research they could have lowered expectations and managed the whole situation better.

How many refugees have now started for europe because of merkel etc, but will get here and cant get in?*

When Teresa May and Dave Caron tried to point this out the left shouted them down

Seems David Cameron was bang on in regards to this issue

VertigoNun · 26/01/2016 11:25

Mumsnetters are being gaslighted into being viewed as racist and trans phobics for pointing out the obvious. Women are being sold out.

Tamponlady · 26/01/2016 11:29

It amazes me that the German people (who have always struck me as being really on the ball) allowed that idiot Angela Merkel to make such a reckless decision, which will surely affect the lives of all Germans.

to concerned with looking good as were a lot of the left here who shouted do and other down calling them rasicts ect I remember clearly on here people trying to encourage others to take migrants in when others were quite rightly pointing out we have no clue who theses people are they could be rapeists any one and oh look

TamponLady, I think the left have been like that ever since this started, going back to the start of the Arab Spring. They are on the who ideologues who work from an ideology rather than pragmatists or rationalists who react to changing circumstances rather than rigidly insisting their ideology tells them it will all be okay because their ideology tells them so.

When the Arab Spring started the left celebrated, believing that the ME would be full of well organised prosperous secular socialist democracies in weeks. Anybody who suggested that weak or absent governments might be replaced with something worse than the despots it replaced was racist. But it happened.

The left told us the refugees were a legion of doctors and nurses and teachers coming to save us. Anybody who suggested ISIS might use the flow of refugees to sneak in terrorists was a racist. But it happened.

We were told by the left that the moment a refugee stepped on EU soil they took on liberal secular values instantly by osmosis. Anybody who suggested that the movement are large groups of young males from countries were women were treated like dirt might pose a risk of violence and sexual violence and a danger to women's rights was, of course, a racist. But, of course, it's happening.

I'm getting a bit fed up of the conversations surrounding this being so dominated by people who have repeatedly been proved wrong and to be doggedly sticking to an unsound ideology.

Every time someone voices a worry and the left come out to lecture that they're hysterical and it will never happen I just despair, because that normally means it's about to happen.

Personally I think it's just a matter of time until a chemical weapon or dirty is used in Europe. Because we have no idea what these people are carrying and they are not subject to custom controls.

The future looks increasingly bleak to me.

BillSykesDog · 26/01/2016 12:16

Gaslighted puts it more succinctly. Smile

OTheHugeManatee · 26/01/2016 12:37

Norway and Denmark have also started doing stringent age tests. Surprisingly, the number of unaccompanied 'minors' has dropped dramatically as a result.

BMW6 · 26/01/2016 12:40

Applauding BillSykesDog

SSargassoSea · 26/01/2016 12:44

What is to stop the thousands of immigrants moving to Germany from moving to the rest of Europe once they have citizenship.
Nothing as far as I can see.

Slowlygettingthehangofthings · 26/01/2016 12:58

BillSykesDog could not have put it better myself.

batshitlady · 26/01/2016 13:07

When and where did this happen then?

Tamponlady · 26/01/2016 13:28

On here no lest that's were it happened

knackeredknees · 26/01/2016 13:33

Which is why a Brexit can't happen soon enough for me.

Tamponlady · 26/01/2016 13:37

Amen knackered can't wait to tick the no box

This whole thing shows how dangerous the left are with jermery Corbin saying we should let all the migrants in he's learned nothing from Germany Hmm

That feel that security and women's safety is a price worth paying to be liberal and wooly
