Do not think smearing a soiled nappy on a car is a good idea, or mixing cat poo with milk and pouring it into airvents to get rid of problem parkers, etc etc. It's all gone a bit bizarre round here, and I used to read mn for sane, diverse, funny, wise intelligent opinion. Now my eyes bulge at the majority of posts / advice - people are aggressive and humourless far more often than wise, funny or kind. I'm hoping responses to this thread won't attract too many of those...

Has penis beaker ruined it for us long term posters?

If anyone can direct me to where all the old posters have gone I'd love to know Grin

Yy, I don't believe people are as rude or would be in RL as some profess to be here.

And some dramas would make great soap plotlines. Perhaps we could get HQ to post a link to various soap (or is it dramas) websites asking them to re-post there ?

Although, at times my life is like an episode of certain soaps. If I posted, no-one would believe me. Which is why I don't.

I read threads with a bit of a raised eyebrow sometimes. Then I think what a pasting I'd get if I wanted to talk about certain things that have affected me.

I dunno. Takes all sorts, doesn't it, really.

Although downright twattery belongs on twitter.

Pannn · 29/12/2015 20:08

yep I, actually leaving the bastard is just so often fraught and complicated and with consequences not visited upon the advisors.

var123 · 29/12/2015 20:11

100% agree about the annoying armchair detectives who are absolutely determined that the OP doesn't know what the real issue is - its only her life after all - only the MN pack knows what the real issue is, and woe betide the OP if she tries to contradict them.

Pannn · 29/12/2015 20:14

oh sure MrsV, as a bit of a tangent, as a male NRP there's things I experience but would have no traction on MN at all. But I guess that isn't MN function for me. ifswim

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 20:19

Iswym, Pann, completely.

I think some pps forget that generally, mn is an escape for posters. Or it was.

And that overall, it was supposed to be supportive, no questions asked sort of thing.

Its almost become too political. Iyswim ?!

Pannn · 29/12/2015 20:28

fwiw I don't mind the 'political', and yes to the supportive thing. The underlying notion is 'to make parenting easier' which is fab and boy did me and dd's mum need that at the time.

ChampagneTastes · 29/12/2015 20:29

If you all defect can I come too please? I admit I did chuckle at the PB thread but in my defence I was a bit pissed when I read it.

I am getting a bit fed up with some of the unnecessary nastiness; I like a good quality swear as much as the next person but I don't like all the snideness.

I post my own threads but don't respond too often to others any more. I feel outnumbered by people who I'm reasonably sure are wrong but who are very vocal. The poo on the windscreen thing was pathetic but so many people piled in to support the OP that I assumed it was me who had the problem.

Nice to see Hully back though. Thought you'd disappeared forever! I always liked your posts.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 20:31

The more threads I read on here the more I think how sane and normal I am.... Not things I am normally accused of

Stratter5 · 29/12/2015 20:37

Me too Christina

Gin is vile. Anything with juniper in it is vile.

Raahh · 29/12/2015 20:39

LouSavage · 29/12/2015 20:43

Well thanks to this post I went off to discover 'poo crumbs' for myself. I've been crying with laughter. This place, man..

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 20:46

Raahh

Hello gorgeous !

Strats

On t'other thread we are attempting to find out if we could make gin nicer by making it into lollies using Angel Delight then freezing to make lollies.

A bit like the old wodka flavour days. Wink

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 20:47

Sorry. One too many lollies in last post. Blush

Stratter5 · 29/12/2015 20:50

Lo MrsV my lovely

Gin and wodka on this thread btw Grin

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 20:53

Its like ye olde days, isn't it ?

I feel strangely excited.

Rows and rows of teeny bottles, ribbon and skittles sorted into colours !

Raahh · 29/12/2015 20:53
Grin

I love wodka.

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 20:56

I love black wodka mixed with orange juice. Turns a vile green colour. Peoples faces as you drink are hilarious to watch.

Stratter5 · 29/12/2015 21:00

Ahh, the skittles vodka threads. Best stuff I ever made was with fruit sherbets. Although the rhubarb, and the cranberry ones were pretty damn good.

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 21:02

Yy, Strats.

Might have to make a List for next year. Wink

limitedperiodonly · 29/12/2015 21:04

Why don't you just get on threads and post what you want, instead of whining about the good old days of sparkling wit?

Or do you just wish that people noticed your sparkling wit while canvassing for your splinter group of sparklingly witty people?

MinistryofRevenge · 29/12/2015 21:05

Stratter5 I had a lovely gin a couple of weeks ago, really light and flavoured with rose geranium, no juniper flavour at all. I think that'd make a nice lolly with strawberry angel delight. Though I can't remember the name of it, so I'll have to go back to the gin pub to find out.

Queenbean · 29/12/2015 21:07

Actually Limited, it's nice to have some actual chat for no good reason, rather than commenting on a thread and getting some snarky poster coming on just to have a go at what you've posted. A bit like what you've just done.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 21:07

We have to be sparkling and witty???? Dammit thats me booted out already and I'm taking my creamola foam with me
