The XH has told DD10 that Father Christmas doesn't exist, that it's all a big adult lie, but she needs to not tell DS8 about it or it will ruin it for him. Why, why, why???

AIBU that we could have kept it going for a few more years? I just feel he's stolen the magic from her too young.....twunt!

I still believed in Santa at 10. Not by 11 though.

My mum told me when I was 10. In the church car park on Christmas morning. She said I was making myself look silly talking about Father Christmas. Of course I bloody knew he wasn't "real" but u lived the whole pretence and magic. I still do. I stood in that car park and sobbed.

There is no need to tell anyone ever Father Christmas isn't real.

Depends how it's done. I asked and I wanted the truth by them. Which worked for me.

sleep we went to Lapland when DS was 6. So he's seen Santa and the sleigh and reindeer. Therefore it exists! Because his fact and fiction is blurred the fact he tracks him on norad means it's must be him iyswim? It's quite sweet, quirky and worrying all in one!
Yet DS doesn't believe in God, doesn't believe God created the world, believes there was someone called Jesus but he wasn't gods son. Why? Because he's never seen God!
