To ask at which stage/age of your life you were the happiest?

For me it was probably my first pregnancy. I was over the moon to be pregnant after a previous late miscarriage and, after an anxious and nauseous beginning, I had a pretty straightforward time. I felt optimistic at last and there was so much I was looking forward to.

At university.
And also at the moment.
The 37 years in between were a bit shit

Now. I have the child I always dreamed of and a wonderful partner. I have confidence without arrogance, my weight is at its best, my hair does what its told.

Right now. I'm the most confident that I've ever been and my house is full of love. It's not always like this, I'm am savouring this ghost of a moment.

I'll let you know when I get to happiest moment. Hopefully when I finish maternity and we have money again lol. Bit rubbish worrying all the time at the moment.

Now! I have a lovely husband, am enjoying my baby much more than I could at the beginning (due to sleep deprivation), am getting on well with extended family and in-laws. I need to lose a few lbs but that really doesn't make me unhappy (just noticed up thread someone mentioning weight, so that's why I mention it).

Now. And I'm low today. But I'm happier than ever.

Still waiting but I'm ever the optimist.

Lovely to hear of so many people who are happy now.

VocationalGhost, what led to you reaching that place do you think? I fear I am slipping into a bit of a depression too.

I think right now. I'm 35, 3 week old dc3 so no sleep and a crazy run up to Xmas. But I have got to the age where I can recognise how truly lucky I am to have three healthy chn, a kind husband who I love and a home that is warm and full of joy (and screaming and arguing too). We don't have a lot of money and worry about money etc but I think I've got to the point where I can value the things we do have above everything else. It's a good feeling and I hope I can keep it until I am old old old

Right now. I'm cuddling my new baby.

To be fair it's all been pretty good from about 27 onwards.

Losing my dad eighteen months ago hit me very hard though and I still miss him.

Technically it should be now. It really really should.

Struggling with (self diagnosed) depression for the last .... 5 years has tainted things. I'm rising out of it very slowly. Finding me again. So i'm going to say 'now' in the spirit of conquering this.

24 was a really good age party wise and friend wise.

I'm 27 now, earning more, paying into a pension, have nicer things and like my dc more and more the older they get. Life's pretty good at the moment and I like the career ladder I'm on.

The next one. Then the one after that. Any other viewpoint is just too depressing to think about.

I'd say now too, aged 35.
After a few terrible relationships I found someone wonderful, married him this year and now 34 weeks pregnant with our first. We're over the moon.

I had a very happy childhood so was happy then.

Also, very happy at the moment. I am 38 now. I have always loved doing things with my dd's, but now they are teenagers I love their company and doing things with them. Also, very happy with my relationship with Dh, we have never really been unhappy together, but are now better off financially and that means we can do more together as a couple and don't need to worry too much about bills,etc.

19-24; when I first started to date my husband to a few months after we for married. Absolutely the happiest time in my life.

26 - 29, 33- 44

Right now, I've never been so happy and sometimes I feel frightened it won't last because I can't believe how consistently happy I feel lately! I feel it is down to the fact I've never been single for so long, my confidence is up and I'm very happy.
Single parent and currently working towards a degree in the subject I love.
All I feel is missing is two more children and a beach bod

When I was a student in the 90's was pretty fab but I think now is best.
I'm late 30's comfortable in my own skin. Do and I are happy. Three lovely dc. There are times in my life I've been better off financially and on paper probably looked quite settled but for various reasons was utterly miserable. I'm happy right here right now.

Now and for the past two years really. I was desperate to be a mum and it took a loooong time, dominating my late twenties and the first half of my thirties. I love DD and being a mother even more than I could have hoped.

I have a wonderful, loving wife and a comfortable home. We are happy.

Probably aged 22-23 living in London having a whale of a time with my friends. We were skint, but had so so much fun. All our friends lived in london, we had parties every weekend, and zero responsibilities. I found my rental agreement for our flat recently-our rent for a gorgeous 3 bedroom flat in zone 2 was £330 each per month, £400 including all bills. I thought that was expensive!!

And now. I am happily married to a lovely man, Ds is hard work but awesome, my job is also hard work but awesome but I am finally professionally recognised and that means a huge amount. We have a fab house in a lovely area, and life is good.
I have an ongoing battle with anxiety, but am trying to manage it rather than it managing me.

As awful as it sounds, the time my husband and i spent together after he was diagnosed with cancer was probably my happiest time. We had 16 months of being closer than we had ever been. He used to be a workaholic so to spend 16 months together, just us and the boys, making every day count and talking about everything in our hearts, was my happiest time as well as my saddest time.
Those 16 months were the best time in my life.
December 2nd this year changed everything and i wonder if i will ever find anything to be happy about again..
