I like to buy oddball, but nice gifts, for people but I can get it wrong.

I bought SIL this watercolour for xmas which DH says isn't very nice and grolly. I like it and think its pretty inoffensive. I thinking more thoughtful than bubble bath.

Would you like this as a gift?

She's forty and pretty middle of the road.

It's horrible

It's the kind of thing you see when you go to look at a house that has belonged in the house of a 90year old woman who has just died. Along with one of those pink eiderdowns, an avocado bathroom suite and a dolly with a frilly skirt covering the toilet roll.
