Who does that!!
I'm away with friends and last night we had curry and pizza delivered. Ordered too much and quite a lot was left.
I've just got up and was thinking a slice of cold pizza would go down well with this hangover ....... to discover it is all IN THE BIN. Shock

OP posts:

It gets binned straight after the meal here.

Reheated food is grim

emwithme · 19/12/2015 15:36

WTF? The only thing better than curry is curry the next morning for breakfast.

Ta1kinPeace · 19/12/2015 15:37

Do you bin all leftovers - even of things like roasts?

MERLYPUSSEDOFF · 19/12/2015 15:39

I always eat the left overs. I like to play rice roulette and luckily have never been ill with reheated rice. Today I had thursday's chinese. I dnt see a problem with leaving a pizza out of the fridge overnight and eating it the next day. Let's face it, it's practically cheese on toast. Any meat content is negligible - it's all reformed plastic.

Ilikedmyoldusernamebetter · 19/12/2015 15:42

Did you pay for your own take aways or did your friends treat you?

If you paid for the food they had no right to impose their weird paranoias on your family by throwing away your take-away!

I wonder how the situation developed throughout the day? Did the teens revolt? Was the subject discussed? Did you LTBs and return home early for a take-away-re-run? Why do they keep skittles in the fridge? Xmas Confused

McColonel · 19/12/2015 15:48

I've been heating up rice several times over my lifetime and I've never been ill from it once.

I never worry about over ordering from a takeaway cos i know the leftovers will always be kept, and in most cases do for another one or two meals.

minipie · 19/12/2015 15:49

MN will be quick to point out that leftover curry and pizza can feed a family of 4 for several weeks Grin

minipie · 19/12/2015 15:50

Oh and leftover rice is delicious if fried in butter till crispy

Lweji · 19/12/2015 15:54

DS had a rage the other day because I had left the pizza leftovers in the oven and they were ultra dry. He still wanted to eat them.
If you paid for the take aways, get your money off your bastard friends.

Lweji · 19/12/2015 15:55

Reheated good is great. It saves me from cooking every single meal.

sadwidow28 · 19/12/2015 15:59

I once had friends from Germany staying and threw a big BBQ. I over-catered as usual so put the cooked sirloin steaks, salmon steaks, burgers etc into foil containers and popped them in the fridge. I was going to feed the 6 of us off the remainders the next day.

I woke up late to find that friend had put everything in the bin "because they had been exposed to the sun on the BBQ table".

I could have cried at the waste!

MrsDiesel · 19/12/2015 15:59

What kind of people do you associate with. You don't throw away takeaway!

BooyakaTurkeyisMassive · 19/12/2015 16:00

Oooooh. Skittles vodka. Not Skittles, vodka with a stray comma. In that case OP, if they're bringing things like that to the party throwing away leftovers is completely forgivable.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 19/12/2015 16:05

I'm sorry, but what the fuck is left over pizza? 🍕

HammerToFall · 19/12/2015 16:06

Dh is out tonight and it's just me and dd. I'm am ordering an extra pizza for the sole purpose of eating it for breakfast tomorrow. ShockShockSmile

Ta1kinPeace · 19/12/2015 16:08

When I rented a place on airbnb in the US, the landlords left some boxed pizza in the fridge for us to save us getting supper the first night Grin

Pantone363 · 19/12/2015 16:17

Yes we throw away all leftovers. i don't tend to overlook or order more than we need.

Leftovers from people's plates go in the bin!

So if you do a roast chicken, do you not strip the carcass to make sandwiches?

Ilikedmyoldusernamebetter · 19/12/2015 16:24

Skittles Vodka? Is that a thing? Is it Skittles flavour vodka? That sounds a bit disgusting... I do have vague memories of people putting jelly babies in vodka... I think that was probably disgusting but can't clearly remember, my vodka drinking days are a hazy memory almost two decades in the past.. Off to google... Xmas Confused

Ilikedmyoldusernamebetter · 19/12/2015 16:24

Things like pasta bakes and curry are actually better next day.

Pantone363 · 19/12/2015 16:25

No, a large chicken does us for one meal, 2 adults 4 DC. Carcass in the bin

Junosmum · 19/12/2015 17:15

Second day curry is the best! They were totally unreasonable.

Pollyputhtekettleon · 19/12/2015 17:17

Eating leftover takeaway is gross. Eating takeaway is gross and I always regret it. We are planning a takeaway tonight.

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/12/2015 17:20

I always keep leftovers for the next day, best bit.

goldiesoxx · 19/12/2015 17:23

Cold morning pizza is what I live for, seriously it's amazing!
