Donald Trump thinks there should be a ban on all Muslims entering the U.S.

Sorry, it is Laura Ingraham, not Laura Graham. She has excellent insight and analysis. Check out her articles, they are very good.

pil Obama has not gotten America out of the ME. There is just as much blood on his hands as Bush IMO due to his mismanagement of the ME.

pilpiloni · 17/12/2015 20:52

I think Obama's made mistakes.

But he's not the one who ordered the invasion of Iraq, he's trying to get them out of the mess Bush got them into.

Want2bSupermum · 17/12/2015 21:09

pil ...and that is my point. Obama has done a terrible job of getting the US out of the ME. He pulled troops out and left a huge power vacuum, resulting in radical Islam taking a hold in certain areas. Nearly every military adviser said there was a huge risk of this happening if troops were withdraw according to his plan but he didn't listen.

From what I have seen the US has a terrible track record with all foreign affairs. They are best staying put and leaving it to others.

"Trump: Hillary has ‘killed hundreds of thousands of people’

“She is the one that caused all this problem with her stupid policies,” Trump said on “Fox News Sunday.” “You look at what she did with Libya, what she did with Syria.”
“You look, she was truly, if not the, one of the worst secretary of States in the history of the country,” he added. “She talks about me being dangerous; she’s killed hundreds of thousands of people with her stupidity.”

Fox News host Chris Wallace questioned Trump about the claim.

“What do you mean, ‘hundreds of thousands?’” Wallace asked.

“She was secretary of State. Obama was president, the team,” Trump responded. “Two real geniuses.”

Clinton has publicly broken from the Obama administration on Syria since stepping down as secretary of State, advocating for increased U.S. involvement in the conflict, such as by implementing a no-fly zone."

thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/263086-trump-hillary-has-killed-hundreds-of-thousands-of-people

This is nothing to what Trump will probably say if he makes it through.

Obama has had a tough job and in the circumstances has done well. He has prevented the crazies from starting WW3, he didn't go ahead wiith the bombing of Assad which would have helped Isis and the butchering Jihadis sponsored by the Sunni billionaires.

But now it is time for a different strategy and that will be Trump's strategy. Israel will be helped and protected, I think Russia will no longer be the adversary, but I think Isis and all of their sponsors and backers are going to be taught a lesson.

Trump doesn't need to stand, he is not a party puppet, he is super rich and has a great life. Trump wants to stand for one reason only, to set things right and to "make America great again". He dislikes the Bushes, his team dislike them, he takes the attacks of all the pundits on Fox and elsewhere for one reason only - he loves America and he is going to make it win again. He is sick of the "losers" who have let the people down, and the tens of thousands of people who drive to his rallies over the vast distances of the US are hoping he can "get the job done".

Political classes across the world, puppets and Saudi princes are saying he is not "fit for office" or is a "disgrace" to America; I think he will be one of the best Presidents America ever had - independent, "fearless, he can't be bullied, he can't be bought".

Ta1kinPeace · 17/12/2015 22:12

Trump wants to stand for one reason only, to set things right and to "make America great again".
Um no.
Its because he's an arrogant psychopath who thinks he knows better than everybody else

I think he will be one of the best Presidents America ever had - independent, "fearless, he can't be bullied, he can't be bought".
Reminds self to make sure I keep my US voter registration current to stop that

pilpiloni · 18/12/2015 00:05

No one needs to stand. It's not like the others are unemployed and figure they may as well have a go.

And I don't know what you think trump has up his sleeve that hasn't already been flung at Hillary. They hate her!

He knows secrets that no one else does? Nah.

Normal Americans don't want dirty fighting, they don't want divisiveness. They saw through the pathetic Osama/Obama 'mistakes'

BigChocFrenzy · 18/12/2015 00:18

Can Trump get any nastier ?

Earlier this month, he said the US should “take out” the families of militants to deter terrorism.
On Tuesday he said: “I would be very, very firm with families. Frankly, that will make people think because they may not care much about their lives, but they do care, believe it or not, about their families’ lives.”

Hmm I suspect if religious nutters want to blow themselves to smithereens for Allah, they'll be delighted to sacrifice their family for him too

claig · 18/12/2015 00:34

'It's not like the others are unemployed and figure they may as well have a go.

True but they are all "career politicians" apart from the outsiders like Trump, Carson and Fiorina. The outsiders are doing it for different reasons to the insiders which is why the outsiders are for the most part so popular with the people.

'And I don't know what you think trump has up his sleeve that hasn't already been flung at Hillary. They hate her!
He knows secrets that no one else does? Nah.'

I don't think it will be specifically about Hillary although I guess Benghazi will come up again. I think lots of people know what Trump knos but the difference is that no one dares say anything. Trump is totally fearless, he will say things that no one else would dare say and I think what he says will be a total gamechanger.

'Normal Americans don't want dirty fighting, they don't want divisiveness.'

The Republican voters love Trump because he keeps hitting Jeb Bush and all the rest of the puppets. As Ann Coulter says even friends of hers who don't back Trump go along to one of his rallies and come out laughing more than if they had seen the best comedian. They love the way he goes after the puppets. When Trump starts on Hillary, the whole country will tune in. Barbara Streisand supports Hillarybut she said Hillary vs Trump will be the biggest show ever, everyone wil tune in. Trump won't disappoint, he will spill so many beans (not about her personally) that people will be stunned. He is in it to win. He won't have gone through all of that in order to lose.

'They saw through the pathetic Osama/Obama 'mistakes''

That was Trump going for publicity and he was not all in in the race. Ths time it is real, the game is on and he is going to make sure he wins. I think it will be bigger than anything we have yet seen.

claig · 18/12/2015 00:39

'Can Trump get any nastier ? '

I think he can. But I think it is for show. He has made sure that the Republican base think he is tough, so that he can mock Jeb Bush by saying

"I know, you're a tough guy, Jeb, very tough"

Trump goes to extremes so that he can't be outflanked and then he can hit his opponents from an unassailable position. It will be the same against Hillary, he will make sure that he is unchallengeable, but it is all for show.

pilpiloni · 18/12/2015 01:41

If people have anything to smear HC with, I have no doubts that they'd have done so. No one is too scared to do so. Your elevation of trump to mythical status is very strange. He does have comedy value though, I'll give you that.

claig · 18/12/2015 01:50

'If people have anything to smear HC with'

It won't be a smear, it will be about policy. Millions will be tuned in. I think it will affect the outcome.

'Your elevation of trump to mythical status is very strange'

I like Trump, I hope he wins. I agree with O'Reilly that Trump's strategy is "brilliant". O'Reilly is not too keen on Trump in my opinion, but I am. Goldberg was on O'Reilly and said Trump won't win because there aren't enough Trump supporters in the States. He is basing that on polls as of today. What I think he gets wrong is that Trump will change those polls. He started out at 4%, now he is much higher. When he debates Hillary and says things about policy, I think he will go much higher. Hillary is very clever, as are Rubio and Cruz, but clever won't beat Trump.

claig · 18/12/2015 02:37

Trump's reply to Putin complimenting him

"Trump Says 'Great Honor' to Get Compliments from 'Highly Respected' Putin
...
Trump tells ABC News in a statement that “it is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond.”

"I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect,” Trump’s statement continued."

ChipsandGuac · 18/12/2015 02:46

Claig, do you actually live in the US and have a vote? Because, if not, I'm pretty sure Trumpy Pants could get you in pretty quick.

I actually quite respected some of your comments right up until you mentioned Fox News as a credible news source. It's not.

pilpiloni · 18/12/2015 03:31

Does Trump not realise that Putin is a tyrant? What he's done in Crimea?

God, it's like Roosevelt and Uncle Joe!!

Dipankrispaneven · 18/12/2015 07:00

I suppose if you support someone who does things "all for show", who lies, and who is utterly inconsistent, no logic is ever going to appeal to you.

And I love the comment that "clever won't beat Trump". Yep, let's support the brainless one, why don't we.

claig · 18/12/2015 08:25

'Claig, do you actually live in the US and have a vote? '

No

'until you mentioned Fox News as a credible news source. It's not.'

I know it is spin. But, they have access to top ex-military, top politicians and top authors and political strategists. People fall over themselves to get invited onto Fox because the publicity helps sell their books or promote their blogs. So although O'Reilly invites liberals on, only to give them a roasting and not to let them talk, there are other segments where guests give good information. Also a lot of the hosts are very well qualified and know politics. Everyone is an attorney etc.

Ta1kinPeace · 18/12/2015 08:29

Phew,
for a minute there I thought Claig might be doing something other than bull shitting.

Knowing that she cannot vote for him makes this thread much more relaxing.

I can vote and I will NOT be voting for him.

wasonthelist · 18/12/2015 08:46

Does Trump not realise that Putin is a tyrant?

I thought that's what Trump admired about him?

BigChocFrenzy · 18/12/2015 21:36

A concern about Hilary Clinton is that there is always another scandal / cockup, not all dreamed up by the Republicans - they just exaggerate wildly.

If something surfaces say a couple of months before the election, or even if the Republicans start another witch hunt, maybe not enough time to recover.
I really wish the Dems had found someone better.

Still, the Republicans seem to have chosen all their candidates from the Funny Farm.

FundraisingPTABitch · 20/12/2015 01:08

Actually, I have no idea why the Clintons are plagued with soooo many scandals.

It's really one after another. All the time!

derxa · 20/12/2015 09:53

The Clintons are ghastly corrupt people. Proven liars the pair of them.

Want2bSupermum · 20/12/2015 17:26

This is exactly why there is a chance that if Trump wins the nomination there is a chance that he could win the election. I say 'could' because all it would take another scandal coming out just before voting for her to lose.
