What item commonly held by --nutty- preppers would just be A Step Too Far for you?

OP posts:
ditavonteesed · 08/11/2015 17:02

all of them, if I tried prepping I would just be fat as we eat all food that is in the house.

BrendaandEddie · 08/11/2015 17:04

I like tinned pears so they'd have been eaten quite early on.

My A Step Too Far item would be tinned tuna. I can't bear the thought of it & the smell makes me want to heave.

RickRoll · 08/11/2015 17:10

Tinned pears are delicious.

Prepper shite I would not eat:

  • tinned ham
  • spam
  • pork brains in milk gravy
KurriKurri · 08/11/2015 17:10

I like tinned pears - they trick you into thinking they are pure mush but you never know when you are going to get one of those tooth breakingly hard bits of gritty stuff - so it's always an adventure. Grin

I would struggle to choose between death and red kidney beans - what is the point of them? They taste like metal and no part of them is digested - you might as well just shit them back into the tin and reuse. (I'm a veggie too - we are supposed to like them Grin)

RickRoll · 08/11/2015 17:11

although the brains, to be fair, could be more useful for feeding the zombies, so maybe they are not intended for consumption

DriverSurpriseMe · 08/11/2015 17:12

I can't stand tinned fruit of any kind.

It'd be death by scurvy for me.

BrendaandEddie · 08/11/2015 17:13

Is pork brain what we call "potted haugh" up here in Scotland?

(pronounced Hochhhhh- like lochhhhh)

Haven't seen that for years! It would go off though because if it's the same thing it wasn't in tins. It came in little tubs.

Personally I couldn't eat sardines.

Italic fail Sad

gBean · 08/11/2015 17:21

When Dh and I first moved in together, I was so so skint. I lived off tinned fruit from his dead grandad's larder and I was thin AF.

Kewcumber · 08/11/2015 17:22

MN could not quite bring itself to attribute Spam with itlaics Salmon

I quite like tinned pears with evaporated milk - I could happily live on them...

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 08/11/2015 17:22

Anything that declares its a meal in a tin, the likes of curry, meatball in gravy

Kewcumber · 08/11/2015 17:23

I'd draw the line at Kit-e-kat. Can;t bear the smell. Whiskers is OK though

Salmotrutta · 08/11/2015 17:24

Oh god - I once foolishly tried a tin of what was allegedly chilli con carne because I was too lazy to actually cook something and it was vile.

I found a horrible rubbery bit of blood vessel Envy - bleurgh.

MitzyLeFrouf · 08/11/2015 17:25

I love tinned pears, lovely in a trifle, so I'd happily scoff the lot.

A step too far would being instructed to get down and dirty with some ugly bloke I didn't fancy in order to start repopulating the world.

Tabsicle · 08/11/2015 17:25

Baked beans. Would totally starve first.

Tinned pears are nice.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 08/11/2015 17:27

I love tinned pek pork which I guess is a bit spam like. Pek pork sandwiches are fab. And sometimes I slice it up and fry it.

Never had tinned pears in my life. I like tinned pineapple.

Ive never had baked beans and would have to be close to death for naked beans.

shouldn't this be in preppers topic, we will be told off for upsetting people
