What item commonly held by --nutty- preppers would just be A Step Too Far for you?

Giddy - terrine de haricots et tomates avec poire, surely ....

Cocolepew · 08/11/2015 18:33

I've never seen pork brains in milk in my life. And I have a husband who like those tinned meatballs in onion gravy

Muskey · 08/11/2015 18:39

Spam, mixed beans, tinned pilchards and ye old oak tinned ham (we won it in a Christmas hamper and tasted like bad breath)

GiddyOnZackHunt · 08/11/2015 18:51

Liney that's me sold. Stick in a bottle of olives and some crisps and I can pretend it's NYE Grin

Worried yep you can be VP of Wanky Menus (Apolcalypse) Grin

LineyReborn · 08/11/2015 18:53

I think that a vegetarian apocalypse is sounding pretty damn good.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 08/11/2015 18:55

From an orderly queue for a more ethical Apocalypse...

TelephoneIgnoringMachine · 08/11/2015 18:56

If you don't like the tinned chicken, perhaps the tinned fish mouths?

Ed1tY0urPr0f1le · 08/11/2015 19:00

I'd happily eat any kind of tinned fruit with tinned cream on. It would be a comforting reminder of teas at my Granny's house in the 70's Grin

I hate pretty much all tinned meat though - ok going in but gives me awful burps and sicky feelings for hours after!

notenoughbottle · 08/11/2015 19:03

I would eat the tinned pears - they're actually quite nice I prefer them to fresh ones

Iwasworried · 08/11/2015 19:14

Am well up for the VP of Wanky Menus (Apolcalypse) role, will get in touch with Waitrose and other quality food outlets immediately to start exploring options. Wonder if we could get M&S to do a special £10 Dine In offer?

Katedotness1963 · 08/11/2015 19:17

I came to this thread to say tinned pears would be the last thing I ate...then I saw the pictures.

LineyReborn · 08/11/2015 19:36

M&S tinned ham is quite nice. And their chicken supreme.

I like cooking though and I am wondering if DP might consider a canning machine for xmas. We could sell online. Go on Dragons' Den.

Apoca-Poca Sauce.

Kewcumber · 08/11/2015 19:41

I really fancy some tinned pears and evaporated milk now...

ragged · 08/11/2015 19:44

I had serious cravings for tinned peaches while pg, so pears seem fine to me.

LineyReborn · 08/11/2015 20:22

Home canning systems are quite popular in the US, apparently.

SilentlyScreamingAgain · 08/11/2015 20:47

I'm hitting the morphine when we get down to the out of date Xmas pudding.

Janeymoo50 · 08/11/2015 21:15

Nigella does a chic pudding with tinned pears, it's bloody lovely with clotted cream.
I love Spam.

Janeymoo50 · 08/11/2015 21:16

*choc pudding

HubertsBirthdayStick · 08/11/2015 21:21

Forgive me - I'm stupid - are the pork brains in milk a joke?

80sWaistcoat · 08/11/2015 21:47

M and s lamb curry in a can I surprisingly good.

Pork brains on milk must be a joke...

Pipbin · 08/11/2015 22:59

I think that a vegetarian apocalypse is sounding pretty damn good.

What if the cause of the end of days is brought about by a meat borne illness that causes meat eaters to drop dead? Corbyn would be in charge!

clockbuscanada · 08/11/2015 23:14

Sardines. Would rather feed them to the cat then eat the cat. And I don't think I could eat my cat.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 09/11/2015 00:13

Pip now there's a thought. Particularly as I believe he doesn't drink. Bagsy me the wine.

TelephoneIgnoringMachine · 09/11/2015 00:18

In all seriousness, tinned chicken soup. Especially if it's cream of chicken soup. Yuck.

LineyReborn · 09/11/2015 00:25

You can get tinned haggis made out of sheep ears.
