To have realised that I just don't belong here?

Been here for donkeys years but reading recent threads, I realise that:

I don't really care if people pierce their babies or toddlers ears.

Can't get that worked up about male circumcision.

I like Mathew Wright

Am actually quite fond of WH Smiths

I like my in laws

I hate the phrase "wine o' clock"

There was something else also very important but I can't remember it.

Suggestions of suitable new hangouts that meet my superior/ inferior (depending on your viewpoint) tastes are welcome.

There was a thread once about the most surprising thread to kick off.
The one that won it was about a mango or something equally banal.

People must really want a bunfight sometimes.

Bambambini · 06/11/2015 21:16

At yes, Cupcakes! I just buy those homemadey looking cakes from the co-op and rough them up a little more and pass them off as my own. My bread maker (Christmas present from husband - bastard) hasn't seen any action in months.

Sallystyle · 06/11/2015 21:22

I love U2 and Bono.. how do you think I feel?? Grin

Potatoface2 · 06/11/2015 21:22

i have no opinion on anything any more......not on here anyway..lol

Caprinihahahaha · 06/11/2015 21:24

It's a lonely life for you U2HasTheEdge.

I saw Bono at Nice Airport. He really is tiny.

Sallystyle · 06/11/2015 21:26

Ahh my tiny Bono.

A week ago I was watching them live, enjoying wonderful London.

Now a week later I'm stuck reading about how people don't belong on MN.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 06/11/2015 21:27

I agree with your list op

And I find John Lewis dull

And I do not like Yankee Candles or Boden

And I love sarcasm Grin

Wine o'clock sounds so fucking prissy it's as bad as having a cheeky whatever

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 06/11/2015 21:29

Im going to say it judgy pants .. arent we taught to judge to survive? Judge people we feel safe with, judge distance, judge safety, judge friendships? Judge situations?

Poor tiny Bono.

Does anyone on MN like Boden?
That was years ago. I've not read anything nice about Boden for so long. In fact do people actually discuss Boden anymore?

partialderivative · 06/11/2015 21:33

MumsNet = Self Righteous Sisters Net

(Fortunately. not all the time. I have learned a lot from reading these threads)

Hatethis22 · 06/11/2015 21:35

You can't really like Matthew Wright? He has the look of a man who pisses in the sink.

MammaTJ · 06/11/2015 21:42

There has never been a thread in the whole history of Mumsnet where the OP has posted and then every single post after has been 'I agree OP' 'You are 100 % right' 'I was just about to post the same' 'OMG, I was just thinking that exact same thing'.

There is always a diversity of opinions and views! Always disagreement! Always debate, and that is a good thing.

Sallystyle · 06/11/2015 21:43

Egotistical, hypocritical little twat? Mary

That about covers it? Grin

pigsinmud · 06/11/2015 21:48

I said to myself the other day that MN is weird lately. So many seem to want to squash others. It's more than disagreeing, it's unpleasant a lot of the time.

And what's wrong with W H Smith? Confused

I once bought some cream from a forever living rep. I liked it. I have not bought anything since, but I think my 200ml of aloe vera has probably made me the most unmumsnetty mumsnetter here. (I winGrin)

Strokethefurrywall · 06/11/2015 21:53

I fucking LOVE WH Smith - but that's really because I live overseas and the only time I get to go into it is at T5 at LHR when it's full of lovely 3 for 2 books written by British authors that I never get time to read.

One year I left WH Smiths at T5 and flew back here with 9 books. It was like heaven.

So I like Smiths. Plus, I still have a GBP10 voucher in my purse (that belongs to DS1) that I can spend the next time I breeze through!

IrritableBitchSyndrome · 06/11/2015 21:53

Reni2 - how do MNers clean their loos and children without loo brushes and flannels? Curious.
