To call my twins Kensington and Chelsea even though we can barely afford to rent in Enfield

Ive always liked the name Chelsea but when I found out we were having twins I thought this would be a genius idea. My family is originally from around there (grandparents and great grandparents lived there) but its way too expensive for me these days.

Dh thinks its a bad idea but I'm really keen on it.

Stoke and Newie?

PurpleHairAndPearls · 03/11/2015 12:07

Oooh I like them actually

ephemeralfairy · 03/11/2015 12:21

Peckham Beckham...brilliant! Grin

coffeeisnectar · 03/11/2015 12:27

Who the fuck called their kids comfort and febreze?

I like the name Chelsea. Call the other kid Arsenal.

Binkybix · 03/11/2015 12:43

I actually considered our tube as a middle name for new DC Blush

I once had two cats called Tyrrell & Green.

Older Mnetters who know Southampton will get the reference!

Indeed. Alternatively but not quite as naice Edwin and Jones.

I'm a bit Hmm at lots of these reply s! Most aren't even real names and are just silly.

Did no one read the part where I have connections to the area?

I understand I maybe a bit hormonal and with too much time on my hands, but if the boy was called ken no one would even know the connection.

Elephant & Castle?

RhiWrites · 03/11/2015 13:06

I actually love this idea! Matching but only noticeable when together.

Writerwannabe83 · 03/11/2015 13:11

OP,

You may feel a bit Hmm about the responses but just remember that what all the people who replied are thinking is exactly what everyone else in real life will probably think too...

Think about that before you give your child these names.

I love Zone 1 and Zone 2 Grin

TheIncomparableDejahThoris · 03/11/2015 13:12

May Fayre for the girl and Parker Lane for the boy.

HappenstanceMarmite · 03/11/2015 13:13

Hyacinth? Is that you?! Hmm

TheIncomparableDejahThoris · 03/11/2015 13:14

Believe me, people would work out Chelsea and Ken.

Def Hyacinth Grin

I'm relieved you've realised some of the names posted have suggested are silly. Thus you've hopefully made the connection that your names are also silly.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 03/11/2015 13:17

Op, people are making jokes because it is a ridiculous idea.

TweenageAngst · 03/11/2015 13:18

Call siblings Greenwich and Kingston then you will have a royal borough full house.
Just no

MissHooliesCardigan · 03/11/2015 13:19

Comfort is quite a common African name- there was a paramedic in Casualty called Comfort. Not so sure about Febreze Hmm
I used to have 2 cats called Lo and Behold.
OP I don't want to be mean but I think the fact that the majority of posters thought you were joking perhaps suggests you might want to rethink?

Jux · 03/11/2015 13:26

Scrofula and Embolism.

dinkystinky · 03/11/2015 13:29

Farring and Don have a nice ring if they are boys

Lweji · 03/11/2015 13:32

My next ds will be called Monaco

Jux · 03/11/2015 13:36

Oubliette and John.

I know they're not place names, but I hope op has gone off that idea.

morningtoncrescent62 · 03/11/2015 13:36

Harrow and Wealdstone might be in your price bracket, OP. And do tell us, what are the names of your twins' Seven Sisters?
