To call my twins Kensington and Chelsea even though we can barely afford to rent in Enfield

Ive always liked the name Chelsea but when I found out we were having twins I thought this would be a genius idea. My family is originally from around there (grandparents and great grandparents lived there) but its way too expensive for me these days.

Dh thinks its a bad idea but I'm really keen on it.

Wood and green?

Unless these 'twins' are cats Yabu!

spritefairy · 03/11/2015 09:46

What about kensi instead...

SladeGreen · 03/11/2015 09:49

Burnt Oak and Monument.

SladeGreen · 03/11/2015 09:50

Tottenham is also a good name for a baby with Seven Sisters Grin

manicinsomniac · 03/11/2015 09:53

Haha, no, not together I wouldn't.

But I actually really like Kensington for a boy. I'd choose that and pick something other than Chelsea for the girl (Chelsea is nice enough but seems a bit 90s to me)

Angel and Islington. Leicester and Square. Or how about Kings Cross and St Pancras for a bit of international flair?

Why the ever loving hell would you name your children after bits of London? It's practically begging your children to hate you.

ShelaghTurner · 03/11/2015 09:56

Colin and Dale?

ForChina · 03/11/2015 10:01

I like the idea of names associated with London. How about Queen Elizabeth II for one child and Tube for the other?

SquirrelledAway · 03/11/2015 10:01

Chalfont and Latimer have a nice ring to them.

Or Angel and Leyton? Victoria and Kenton?

It's all a bit Barking ...

donotknowhownottomind · 03/11/2015 10:02

Colin and Dale Grin.

How about Wem and Bley?

PassiveAgressiveQueen · 03/11/2015 10:03

when i was still young and stupid i wanted to call a girl lithuania, i thought it sounded lovely, lithy for short.

QuinionsRainbow · 03/11/2015 10:05

In one of the Arthur Ransome books, there is a pair of twins, Bess and Nell, who were known as Port and Starboard because one was left-handed, the other right-handed - can't remember which way round.

PeterGriffinsPenisBeaker · 03/11/2015 10:07

Tooting and Bec?

MissHooliesCardigan · 03/11/2015 10:10

Why all the mirth about Elephant and Castle? They're the names of my older 2 DCs. This has really upset me. DS2 is called Heath. He has been teased a bit at school about it, I don't know why people need to be so nasty.
His surname is Rowe.

Inertia · 03/11/2015 10:12

Go coastal. Brighton and HoveAlbion.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 03/11/2015 10:14

MissHoolies
I bet your DS2 is a high flyer.

How about
May-din & Chelsea for the twins?

howtorebuild · 03/11/2015 10:17

Brooklyn and Hudson?

Harper and blower?

Romeo and Juliet?

Cruise and missile?

howtorebuild · 03/11/2015 10:17

7&8

Rachel0Greep · 03/11/2015 10:19

Buckingham and Palace.

blushingbelinda · 03/11/2015 10:20

Personally, I like it. Go for it op

longtimelurker101 · 03/11/2015 10:21

Maida and Vale?

Bettercallsaul1 · 03/11/2015 10:24

Upwardly and Mobile?

MrsEricBana · 03/11/2015 10:24

Colin & Dale wins!

Loftslag · 03/11/2015 10:25

Totteridge and Whetstone.

MrsEricBana · 03/11/2015 10:26

Harry Enfield is actually Henry Enfield from Horsham in Sussex (true fact)
