How would you vote if there was an EU Referendum tomorrow on British Membership?

I know this is completely unscientific and there are a lot of variables to factor in but if there was an EU Referendum tomorrow on British Membership how would you vote if the only options were staying in (with things as they are now) or out (and into the great unknown)? There seems to be a lot of hysteria on both sides of the argument.

I'm leaning towards out.

Fab choice of thread OP. I'm surprised at the 'result' so far.
I'm an in.

Democracy
If the UK left the EU we would be utterly reliant on Chinese investment.
And they are aver so democratic

We survived before the EU we would survive with it.
THe world in the 1960's was a very, very different place

Had we been in the Eurozone
Non argument. The UK will never join the Euro

Up to Joe I make it:

IN: 33

OUT: 31

Ooh closer!

Can I just point out I failed O level (in my day) maths so if anyone (OP?) would like a recount that's fine Grin

We are entirely irrelevant outside the eu. I do wonder if eventually we will be asked to leave....

As a country we tend to think we're more important than we actually are. If we're on our own we'll become pretty insignificant I reckon. Also on a touchy freely level I feel European. And feel much more affinity with other European countries than, say, America. I realise that's a crap argument but I'd feel really upset if we turned our back on our neighbours,

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 31/10/2015 17:27

wing that's really interesting and one I hadn't thought of, although in a different direction to you. I don't feel European, and I love America.

ghostyslovesheep · 31/10/2015 17:34

In but with trepidation - I dislike how right wing many EU governments are becoming and how undemocratic

But I do think it offers a level of protection especially around human rights

softholly · 31/10/2015 17:35

interesting that many of the In votes give reasons, but few of the Out votes do ....

LeaveMyWingsBehindMe · 31/10/2015 17:46

My gut feeling says out, but I wouldn't do it without a lot of research and soul searching.

Although I suspect voting to come out now might be locking the stable door after the horse has bolted.
