How would you vote if there was an EU Referendum tomorrow on British Membership?

I know this is completely unscientific and there are a lot of variables to factor in but if there was an EU Referendum tomorrow on British Membership how would you vote if the only options were staying in (with things as they are now) or out (and into the great unknown)? There seems to be a lot of hysteria on both sides of the argument.

I'm leaning towards out.

Question to
Those who want to leave the EU because its undemocratic.

Why is that a reason to lose so much economic benefit?

Surely its better to be inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in

The UK on its own will be an irrelevance in all trade talks, political talks, economic activity so will become an utter backwater.
It will be ignored as its population ages and its economy declines
and the young and the rich will migrate to where the jobs are

Chippednailvarnish · 31/10/2015 15:50

Don't know...

GiddyOnZackHunt · 31/10/2015 15:52

I don't know. I don't like not knowing. Sometimes I think out and sometimes I think in.

InTheBox · 31/10/2015 15:52

The EU is not one solid entity, there are at least 3 constituent parts. And do you know because of one of these parts mobile roaming is set to be abolished if not standardised across the EU?

The EU is in dire need of reform, yes, but leaving would be worse for the UK. We aren't even necessarily even in the EU so to speak, we are EEA so anyone that thinks we'll be afforded similar sort of treatment should we leave is delusional. The UK being IN can wield influence that it cannot should it leave. I'm not an EU mouth piece but I think the majority of people are being fed propaganda and hyperbole about the consequences of this referendum.

Out.

A vote to stay in is not a vote to stay as we are, it is vote either to be more sidelined because we are not in the Euro, or drawn further in.

emwithme · 31/10/2015 15:58

Out, for the reasons that Werkz gave.

yeOldeTrout · 31/10/2015 16:05

Remain. Don't think it makes a blind bit of real difference either way though.

Up to Yak I make it:

IN: 27

OUT: 20

And a lot of faffers.

Does it have to just be 51% either way to win, can anyone tell me?

magimedi · 31/10/2015 16:15

I was against us joining back in 1973 (shows age) but I would now vote to stay IN.

InTheBox · 31/10/2015 16:31

SweetAdeline Whilst I'm also IN, your comment r.e. UK being plunged back into recession conflates many things. Had we been in the Eurozone at the time we'd have been up shit creek.
