To not 'get' Daniel Craig

Obviously I can see the obvious appeal Grin

To coincide with the new Bond film I've discussed this a couple of times recently. I find him uncharismatic, bland as an actor, and awkward in interviews. He's just about to appear on Graham Norton and I'm already cringing.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

I was going to say about him brim too pouty. I see Joffrey has already mentioned it!

Muckogy · 24/10/2015 00:05

he's rotten.
i never took to him.
he's simply not good looking enough to play james bond.
put him next to sean connery - shudder.

Lurleene · 24/10/2015 00:07

He looks like my mate Kev.

The next Bond should be Tom Hardy. I am so convinced of this fact that I will bet £5.

minesapintofwine · 24/10/2015 00:09

made that made me laugh!

The thing is we all rate ourselves on being attracted to personality but if it's a choice between Daniel Craig or Jim Carrey loads of people prefer to look at DC than listen to JC. Why don't we admit to being horny buggers Grin

Thing is, I heart Bradley Cooper. Telepathically snogged his face off a poster at the petrol station the other day.

Let's face it Bradley is a poor actor and not that nice, but heck he is sexy, imo.

Im off to my bed. I want to see more photos supporting these actors credibility in the morning ok?

Btw, totally irrelevant, my pissed neighbour just came home and crashed his car into several others and a wall Confused

Made man- he is so like Norman Wisdom!

I say this every time I see him in Bond.

trollkonor · 24/10/2015 00:14

All three seemed a bit bland tonight but I suspect that is because they have to spend lots of time on media but can't actually say anything about the film yet. Anything they can go o about is previous films.

I have no issue with Craig and think he is a great bond. The Bonds are like Dr Whos, each has their place in time and storyline. But when hearing the rumours about Idris last year I went through a process.

I think know the name.Who? Yes he was in that series. Google. Yes. Him. Yes, he would carry the story on.

Behooven · 24/10/2015 00:35

Idris not for me, no.

That's a naice pic lunchpack Grin
Oh yes

MyFavouriteClintonisGeorge · 24/10/2015 00:40

Bradley Cooper's eyes are too close together and he is odd and rodent-like.

DC is a very good Bond, much more like the books in which Bond is essentially a ruthless cad who is very good at killing.

pinotblush · 24/10/2015 00:41

Actors play a role in a film, thats it. Id either like the film or not.

Dislike the song.

Flambola · 24/10/2015 01:02

I find Daniel Craig repulsive. Sounds a bit OTT but that's how I feel! I don't really rate him as an actor either.

Apparently my FIL had a fight with him when they were in school. He loves that story.

mudandmayhem01 · 24/10/2015 01:08

God you lot are so fussy, I d like to see your dhs. Idris elba and Daniel Craig are both incredibly handsome men... now elba and Craig there's an idea

Sparklingbrook · 24/10/2015 01:10

My DH isn't going to be the next James Bond AFAIK.

Daniel Craig handsome? Confused

Flambola · 24/10/2015 01:12

I don't 'get' Idris Elba either. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 24/10/2015 01:13

TBF the only actor I really rate in the looks dept is Rob Lowe but don't think he would be allowed to be JB. Sad

Im with you op, I can see is his attractive but really does he have that hold and charisma of other truely sexy actors?

He seems shallow and thin to me.

Bond is not a moody Jason Bourne, Bond is cheeky, charismatic and suave....all the things craig is NOT.

You literally need someone with a cheeky in the eye

God you lot are so fussy, I d like to see your dhs Hmm

tbh with some bulking up, my dh could certainly be JB actually and a goodly no of old ex's bar a few...( def bar a few).

DrasticAction · 24/10/2015 08:13

Bradley Cooper's eyes are too close together and he is odd and rodent-like

Grin I find he has far more twinkly charisma but for the above ^ still not right as bond Grin

minesapintofwine · 24/10/2015 08:15

sparkling Rob Lowe IS lovely!

mud well obviously my dh is that stunning Craig and Elba have trouble measuring up to him. Wink

Has anyone seen The Long Walk to Freedom? Elba was great in that, imo, but I'm struggling to see him go from that to Bond. Versatility is key in a good actor I think and he has proven he has that. Plus he looks great which is necessary to play Bond. Craig has the looks dept nailed but not sure of his acting ability at all! (I keep saying the same thing sorry don't know why)

Favourite Bonds? A pp mentioned Sean Connery and I would agree I think. I didn't really care much for Brosnan in the role either (I AM fussy)

OP posts:
DrasticAction · 24/10/2015 08:18

I wasn't 'fussed by Brosnan either, although he was great in the thomas crown affair.

he has more abut him than craig,he is just dull, there is no sex appeal.

Having a 6 pack and bulky arms does not = sex appeal!

DrasticAction · 24/10/2015 08:20

Sean was fun, he looked amusing, like he would laugh and charm you into bed, you would have fun and a good time, which is what you want isn't it Wink when shagging an international spy for one or two nights.

You don't want mr serious I have issues do you?

yeOldeTrout · 24/10/2015 08:29

You need to see DC in a non-Bond film. He plays Bond as quite dull.
I fell for him in Layer Cake.

Gosh Quantem of Solace was released 2008. Isn't it time for a NEW Bond?

LittleLionMansMummy · 24/10/2015 08:35

Yes he's great in Layer Cake.

He's the only man I'd leave my husband for.

Of course I wouldn't really, but I think he's got the best body I've ever seen so thanks for the pic Lunchpack

Pastamancer · 24/10/2015 08:36

Connery is the only good looking Bond there has been. None of the suggestions on this thread have been good looking I had to Google to find out who some of them were
