I was looking forward to X factor. What's all this rugby malarkey?

Nigel reminds me of my granny. I love his refereeing and I hope he referees the final.

Roussette · 18/10/2015 09:08

Minority sport?! It's as much minority as football is! Which means no no no! I am soooo looking forward to an epic struggle in the two matches later, bring it on!

Taytocrisps · 18/10/2015 12:05

Really enjoying the Rugby World Cup and all those hunky men.

I watched X Factor for one series (because the kids were all watching it in DD's class and she wanted to watch it too) and it was woeful. I don't mind talent shows but it's all so fake. All those sob stories and fake crying etc. etc. Everything is sooooo drawn out. Why anybody would watch it voluntarily is beyond me.

Anyway, back to the rugby. I was very disappointed for Wales yesterday. I'll be cheering on both Ireland and Scotland today.

Why don't we have a Rugby World Cup category in Sporting Events?

Taytocrisps · 18/10/2015 12:06

"DS told me this evening that if I was a gay man I'd marry Nigel, hahaha."

Grin
SoDiana · 18/10/2015 12:20

Ireland have too many injuries today Sad

Shutthatdoor · 18/10/2015 12:30

Good luck to all home nations Grin

Why don't we have a Rugby World Cup category in Sporting Events?

Great idea.

Bubblesinthesummer · 18/10/2015 12:33

We have been to 3 matches of the RWC at 3 different venues.

Seriously can't fault the organisation. Even down to someone walking in front of my wheelchair to make sure I didn't get crushed when either making my way to the toilet or when leaving.

My family always have been rugby mad and gone to matches from literally a baby.

Love it

ComposHatComesBack · 18/10/2015 12:37

I can watch most sports aside from golf, formula one and rugby union. God is it dull... Stop, start and half the time the ball isn't even visible as the players are lying on top of it squirming around like a cross between bunch of drunks trying to search for a lost contact lens and a bathhouse orgy.

ComposHatComesBack · 18/10/2015 12:39

But it is still better than the x factor so YANBU. But then I'd consider sticking rusty pins in my eyes better than the x factor.

Mamia15 · 18/10/2015 13:10

Loving the RWC too - especially since I come from the birthplace of rugby football.

I do get where you're coming from OP as I would be the same about football which I hate.

Caprinihahahaha · 18/10/2015 13:15

Blimey - Argentina have come out like a train!
Ireland are reeling.
Come on Ireland!

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 13:17

Oh God! Sad

Caprinihahahaha · 18/10/2015 13:27

If there is no northern hemisphere side in the semis it will be so disappointing.

tldr · 18/10/2015 13:35

Caprini, wash your mouth out. Scotland will still be there.

Taytocrisps · 18/10/2015 13:36

Yes! C'mon Ireland Shamrock

Caprinihahahaha · 18/10/2015 13:37

I'm hoping Scotland will still be there !
Just a slow sense of gloom developing...

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 13:43

Shoulder To Shoulder!

Shutthatdoor · 18/10/2015 13:44

Common Ireland....

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 13:46

We're not common! How rude.

Wink
Shutthatdoor · 18/10/2015 13:46

Sorry Blush stupid autocorrect correct

tldr · 18/10/2015 13:49

The DC have no clue what's going on but are sitting shouting 'naughty blue team' at the telly. Grin

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 13:49

Dislocated fingers. Ouch.

Moln · 18/10/2015 13:50

Flinched at that dislocated finger being popped back.

Shock
tldr · 18/10/2015 13:50

Yeah, that was not lovely.
