I was looking forward to X factor. What's all this rugby malarkey?

OP posts:
AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 21:58

Gordon D'Arcy once wished me a happy new year.

Roussette · 17/10/2015 21:58

Capri Grin

I just perve from a view in the stadium!

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 21:59

Capri what the fuck is wrong with you?! Did he invite you?

Granted he's a bit dull but even still!

Moln · 17/10/2015 21:59

I wanted France to win that. My plan had been France knock out New Zealand. Then Ireland manage get to final and don't need to face New Zealand as I have a sneaking feeling Ireland would stand a chance against them so highly unlikely that the Ireland men would manage their first ever win over them!!

Shall have to rethink my cunning plan now.

NO or WB for final referee I hope. Though I suppose NO would be safest.

ThoseAwfulCurtains · 17/10/2015 21:59

Capri have a stern word with yourself.

Moln · 17/10/2015 22:04

Capri I'm not sure it's possibly to understand what's wrong with you.

Shall not deny though that the scene where I did the sensible thing isn't passing through my mind!!

HearTheThunderRoar · 17/10/2015 22:05

Dont DD meet Ritchie McCaw, Israel Dagg and Perry Weepu back in 2010 at the swimming pool in Dunedin, I have never been so jealous in all my life.

dontevenblink · 17/10/2015 22:05

Rugby is really community involved here, they hold lots of training sessions for kids, visit local schools, help with community projects, so it's not unusual to see them about. And there is a nice coffee place opposite Richie McCaw ' s training ground he may frequent (I now sound like a stalker... Grin)

snoop my DC are kiwis but I'm from the UK originally so I understand :) I spent many a day at Leicester watching Martin Johnson et al playing!

Looking forward to the next match!

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 22:06

Zut alors, the French fans aren't giving the French coach a ummm, warm reception exactly.

Caprinihahahaha · 17/10/2015 22:11

It's given me a life long regret.
I can stare wistfully off into middle distance and say 'I once failed to get into a jacuzzi with Johnnie Wilkinson' to my grandchildren

Privately I remain ashamed.
Oh dear god, the body

DeepBlueLake · 17/10/2015 22:12

I feel sorry for my English DH being married to a smug kiwi who totally took the piss when they lost to Australia Grin

Rugby is better than X Factor any day of the week. Besides watching Dan Carter..mmm, I remember him doing the jockey ads back in NZ lol.

Caprinihahahaha · 17/10/2015 22:13

I still can't explain it. I panicked.

The 'what ifs ' will haunt me. I expect he was waiting for a middle aged mother of three.

Roussette · 17/10/2015 22:13

Sod X factor, this has all been brilliant and I'm going to soooo miss it

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 22:15

One thing I won't miss is Paloma bloody Faith's strangulated warbling!

Moln · 17/10/2015 22:15

I don't think Dan Carter is ageing well

PurpleDaisies · 17/10/2015 22:16

Oh me neither anenome. It is bloody annoying.

Sallystyle · 17/10/2015 22:17

Hate it.

I want corrie and X Factor on like normal please!

Moln · 17/10/2015 22:18

I'd say Jonny lies awake at night filled will sadness - punching the pillow whilst saying "why didn't she get in. WHHHHHHHY!!"

tldr · 17/10/2015 22:26

Palma Faith has been laid on as compensation for those missing X Factor.

DieSchottin93 · 17/10/2015 22:26

What is not to love about drooling over the slow mo replays of all those lovely muscly thighs watching 30 blokes knock each other around a rugby pitch? Grin I sort of watched the X Factor last week, it was unbelievably boring. I found the contestants either average or a bit weird.

I love Nigel Owens as well, it's so funny hearing him tell off all these huge blokes and they just accept it Grin

emwithme · 17/10/2015 22:33

YABVVVVU.

I was proposed to by Andrew Mehrtens once. I turned him down because "my A Levels are too important to move to the other side of the world" Angry Sad and then I fucked them up anyway

McSmoke · 17/10/2015 22:34

I love Nigel. The best refing though is when he refs the pro12. He knows who speaks Welsh and tells them off in Welsh. I really love that!

I'll watch games where I don't care who wins just to watch and listen to Nigel controlling and scolding the players. He is marvellous. DS told me this evening that if I was a gay man I'd marry Nigel, hahaha.

mumeeee · 17/10/2015 22:42

YABU. Rugby was on TV tonight at that time because that was when the match was being played. I don't particularly like Rugby but quarter final match of the Rugby World Cup is much more important than Xfactor. Xfactor can be moved but.the Rugby can't

andthenthereweretwo · 17/10/2015 22:54

This made me laugh!

Anyone enjoying the rugby or AIBU?
Shutthatdoor · 17/10/2015 23:02

I appreciate a lot of people will like rugby but is it not a minority sport,

No it certainly isn't.

I don't think Barnes will ref the final as he did the last one.
