I was looking forward to X factor. What's all this rugby malarkey?

Should have gone to the TMO for the last penalty considering ref couldn't see who last handled the ball and it was such an important decision.

Poor Scotland. Gutted for you Sad Sad Sad I'm English by the way.

BankWadger · 18/10/2015 18:09

The All Blacks haven't won yet.

Maladicta · 18/10/2015 18:09

Craig Joubert - and the way he scuttled off without shaking hands says masses. What's the point of TMO if you don't use it???

Strokethefurrywall · 18/10/2015 18:10

I want to see either NZ or Argentina take the trophy.
Anyone but the Aussies or Saffas. And I say that as a daughter of a Saffa with an intense love for Australia.

Strokethefurrywall · 18/10/2015 18:11

Craig Joubert may be the most hated man in Scotland. Rightly fucking so.
And the most unsportsmanlike behavior. Cunt.

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 18:14

The ref in the Ireland/ Arg match wasn't up to much either

Taytocrisps · 18/10/2015 18:17

Not sure who to support now. Australia maybe?

I think the All Blacks will win it though.

Moln · 18/10/2015 18:17

Craig Joubert; the ref that is said to have cost France the World Cup in 2011

Maladicta · 18/10/2015 18:18

With you on that Stroke

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 18:21

I might put my money on Argentina.

PainAuChocolat23 · 18/10/2015 18:22

The referee is an absolute plank! Why use tmo for straightforward decisions throughout the game yet not use it for what was the biggest decision of the game

Moln · 18/10/2015 18:23

Same guy (Matt Williams) was just involved in a discussion about the poor calls he made just now - yellow card etc

cardibach · 18/10/2015 18:28

Maladicta I don't think that's fair - Wales certainly went down fighting, and I don't think you can dismiss Ireland's effort out of hand either!
There has been some dodgy reffing- hope Nigel does the final.

Keeptrudging · 18/10/2015 18:33

I actually think it's a shame for Australia too, that they won due to a controversial decision. Would have been better if it was a clear, unquestionable win (for either side), although they're not complaining.

Moln · 18/10/2015 18:34

There's been a few dodgy decisions. Most don't matter really, but ones like in this match do. TMO for everything else but not this?

IndridCold · 18/10/2015 18:36

England supporter here, but I actually feel more gutted for Scotland than I did for England Sad. They really we're robbed by poor refereeing.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 18/10/2015 18:41

The theme about Joubert could be his refereeing rather than sour grapes you know.
He should have taken that to the TMO to check. It was a huge decision and rightly or wrongly it would have been worth checking. In previous games he's changed his decision on seeing a big screen replay (not as a TMO call).
Anyway very sorry for the Scots :(
But this has been a fabulous weekend of rugby. The France NZ game was a bit flat but otherwise it has been phenomenal. A Wales win could have been my one change!

Maladicta · 18/10/2015 19:10

Ach I'm an overly emotional Scot, apologies to Wales and ish to Ireland

AnemonesCloser · 18/10/2015 19:31

'ish' to Ireland?

Bugger off.

Maladicta · 18/10/2015 19:46

Ha ha! We watched the Pumas in their first match, they gave the All Blacks a good run. They rode their luck against Ireland

Radicalrooster · 18/10/2015 19:59

Unfortunately the Ref has no option to us the TMO in open play unless it's potential foul play or play leading to the scoring of a try.

It was the wrong decision though, certainly.

Moln · 18/10/2015 20:03

So much as gone to the TMo this World Cup I'd started to think everything could be consulted!!!

Argentina are probably gutted too!!!

Happfeet2911 · 18/10/2015 20:11

Well I'm absolutely loving it, the bloody X-factor can go swivel. It's only every four years and I will be very bored when it's over.
