I was looking forward to X factor. What's all this rugby malarkey?

Saturday is Casualty night for me. Not boring rugby.

ThoseAwfulCurtains · 17/10/2015 21:40

I like a close match. Hate it when it turns into a rout like this one.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 21:41

The French press will be sharpening their knives. They don't pull their punches when one of their teams messes up.

scarlets · 17/10/2015 21:41

They haven't decided who's refereeing the final yet. Nigel must be in the running. He's had a great game tonight. Wayne Barnes is very good currently, too.

honeysucklejasmine · 17/10/2015 21:42

Thanks Scarlets

PurpleDaisies · 17/10/2015 21:42

Yes, the flood lights thing was stupid. I was at edgebaston for the 20 20 blast cup final which was completely flood lit and it was totally fine (great atmosphere too). The umpire should definitely be able to award penalty runs for time wasting. The behaviour of Pakistan at the end was appalling. Roll on the next!

woundbobbin · 17/10/2015 21:43

Another one loving the RWC. Although disappointed Wales went out although great performance.
Great that some of the games are on at 8ish gives me a chance to watch them once toddler in bed.
Love Nigel he should do parenting classes " I don't care if I see it again you are going in the bin is that clear" is a sentence I might use with dd tomorrow!

Snoopadoop · 17/10/2015 21:43

I'm quite partial to 'ref cam' too.

On another note, I went to Wales v Australia and didn't pay £10 for the earphones to hear the referee. If you go... Buy the earphones!!! It's a small price too pay. I discovered I have absolutely no idea what's going on if I can't hear the referee.

Snoopadoop · 17/10/2015 21:45

He dropped it. That would have been amazing, had he not dropped it.

The French press will be out to get them tomorrow.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 21:46

I don't like the All Blacks though.

dontevenblink · 17/10/2015 21:46

A minority sport?? Wash your mouth out! Grin

We are thoroughly enjoying it here in kiwi-land over a leisurely breakfast. Been a lot of excited shouts here! Lots of people saying they were worried about the All Blacks form, Steve Hansen said they were holding back until they needed to, think he just made his point Grin

Whole nation behind it here, we have All Blacks Weetbix, chocolate and even the local nappies have go the All Blacks on the back! There's been reporting on news here about how they were shocked the UK wasn't more excited about the world cup, don't think they fully understand the love of football there, or the x-factor by the sound of the op...

Caprinihahahaha · 17/10/2015 21:46

God I love Nigel too.
Great ref.

Sad about France because St Andre will get the sack. I love him. Utterly bonkers.

Snoopadoop · 17/10/2015 21:47

Awesome! The Springbok v The All Blacks is going to be great! Looking forward to next week!

ThoseAwfulCurtains · 17/10/2015 21:47

I'll just leave this here

Roussette · 17/10/2015 21:49

Loved that match. Poetry in motion with the All Blacks, loved every minute. Have been to lots of matches - Newcastle, Twicks, Millenium Stadium, I shall mourn the end of this. Fantastic all of it.

PurpleDaisies · 17/10/2015 21:50

That could well be a good game snoop. I haven't decided who to support now Wales are out (I'm going for Ireland in the other half of the draw, although I hope scotland put up a respectable performance against Australia).

dontevenblink · 17/10/2015 21:50

anemones Shock

Roussette · 17/10/2015 21:51

dontevenblink dont believe it! All me, friends and neighbours have been loving every minute!

Snoopadoop · 17/10/2015 21:53

I reckon we are going to have a New Zealand v Ireland final! But the All Blacks will win.

dontevenblink · 17/10/2015 21:53

My DC go to school near where the crusaders (Richie McCaw, Dan Carter etc) train and go for coffees. I have obviously not hung out near there to accidentally bump into them or sat on the next table in the cafe drooling, oh no siree. .. Blush

dancerchancer · 17/10/2015 21:54

Wow, never realised rugby was so popular. I agree that X factor is a load of shite but Saturday night is usually rubbish telly anyway, I just thought it'd be the best of a bad bunch.

Snoopadoop · 17/10/2015 21:55

dontevenblink - I once stood behind Ieuan Evans in the queue at Greggs. That might be a bit lost on you coming from New Zealand, but it remains one of my claims to fame.

Roussette · 17/10/2015 21:56

I LOVE Richie McCaw. Missed him against Samoa at the stadium last week, he was crocked I think.
dont please dont tell me you have a chance of bumping into him. Jealous, moi?!

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 17/10/2015 21:57

dontevenblink plenty of excitement in our house! DH practically sold his granny to get tickets to all the Wales games. Would have been there myself if it wasn't for the 14 week old baby.

Caprinihahahaha · 17/10/2015 21:57

Johnny wilkinson stripped off his robe in front of me and got into a jacuzzi.

I didn't get in too.

What the fuck is wrong with me?
