Sorry for the caps but I feel strongly about this!

A friend has just basically told the world on facebook that her and her husband (both with waist length hair) share the SAME hairbrush by telling the world her husband asked could he have his own as he has to remove her black coloured toupee from it every time he uses it! Shock This makes me feel sick!! Surely you don;t SHARE a hairbrush?! WTAF! AIBU?

Don't be so ridiculous.

AllThereIs · 18/09/2015 16:50

What do you brush our your hair that means no one can share your brush?

wickedwaterwitch · 18/09/2015 16:50

We all share hairbrushes in my house!

Yabu over sharing a hairbrush

Yanbu about her over sharing on Facebook

Tiggeryoubastard · 18/09/2015 16:51

Eh?
Biscuit don't share it.

WorraLiberty · 18/09/2015 16:52

I swear this place is getting weirder by the day.

yorkshapudding · 18/09/2015 16:52

Sorry don't get the squeamishness. If you've exchanged bodily fluids with someone then using the same hairbrush isn't a big deal surely?

cjt110 · 18/09/2015 16:52

Maybe it's just me then! I havent ever shared a hairbrush with anyone on the basis of hygiene... hmmm

NickNackNooToYou · 18/09/2015 16:52

YABU - there are worse things.

I think you need to get a grip on. A hairbrush used solely by you Wink

Tokelau · 18/09/2015 16:52

We all share hairbrushes in our house too. We wash our hair every other day, and we're pretty clean!

I probably wouldn't want anyone else using my hairbrush though.

cjt110 · 18/09/2015 16:53

yorkshapudding Touche - hadnt thought of it that way! Ha!

JawannaDrink · 18/09/2015 16:53

You feel sick?

You need therapy. FFS. Hmm

LooseSeal · 18/09/2015 16:53

Good grief, I thought this was going to be about dragon butter or some other don't-Google-brain-bleach thing, not sharing hairbrushes.

Sharing a toothbrush I might be able to muster a eww for, but hairbrushes? Meh.

cjt110 · 18/09/2015 16:54

I just took it as the norm that everyone had their own hairbrush. My mum and I always did when I lived at home.

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 18/09/2015 16:54

Seriously? Nothing wrong with that. It's hair. As long as they're not brushing their public hair, I'm sure it's fine.

What do you do when you go to a hairdresser? Insist they use a new brush?

BumWad · 18/09/2015 16:54

Haha.

What's going on on mumsnet this week first you can't shout at the telly and now you can't share hairbrushes?! Confused

ChristmasZombie · 18/09/2015 16:54
Biscuit
SnobblyBobbly · 18/09/2015 16:55

If we were talking about a toothbrush I'd hear ya.

But hairbrush? Of course YABU.

Why are they talking about this shit on FB?

BumWad · 18/09/2015 16:55

OP do you ever go to the hairdressers? If so do you take your own brush/comb/scissors?

duckyneedsaclean · 18/09/2015 16:55

Hahaha

Devora · 18/09/2015 16:55

You'd swap body fluids with someone but freak out at the thought of your hair capillaries making contact?

cjt110 · 18/09/2015 16:56

LooseSeal I am now intrigued by the dont google type things you have mentioned! IABU And have wierd hygiene issues! Biscuit

Snobbly they often quote each others silly comments.

OP posts:
trollkonor · 18/09/2015 16:56

The only gross thing is that he asked if he could have another, a grown man is perfectly capable of thinking that he wants his own brush and then buy one with no fuss.

duckyneedsaclean · 18/09/2015 16:57

Sorry for the caps I feel strongly about this!
