Sorry for the caps but I feel strongly about this!

A friend has just basically told the world on facebook that her and her husband (both with waist length hair) share the SAME hairbrush by telling the world her husband asked could he have his own as he has to remove her black coloured toupee from it every time he uses it! Shock This makes me feel sick!! Surely you don;t SHARE a hairbrush?! WTAF! AIBU?

TBH, I can't quite see what the problem is. DP and I have our own hairbrushes, but it makes no difference to me if he uses mine - and I doubt that he's bothered if I use his.

Anyway, can't her DH go and buy his own hairbrush if he really wants one?

MardyBra · 18/09/2015 16:57

I'm more concerned that they both have waist long hair. do they both look like Neil from the Young Ones?

I am also disturbed by your shouting.

SillyStuffBiting · 18/09/2015 16:57

Eh?

It's a bit of a non issue for me with a houseful of crew cuts but I don't see the problem.

KanyeWestPresidentForLife · 18/09/2015 16:57

I wonder if they keep their hairbrush with their penis beaker?

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 18/09/2015 16:58

Eh? Did you not grow up with sisters?? I never owned a hair brush more an a week growing up, it would get pinched.

My partner doesn't have long hair, but considering the other things we do, a bit of hair-share is the least of my 'hygienic concerns'. (I may have also been known to use hair brush on the dog, and played 'hairdresser', like a child Blush).

SillyStuffBiting · 18/09/2015 16:58

Grin @ Neil

maybebabybee · 18/09/2015 16:59

is this a joke?!

if not, have my very first Biscuit. You are mad.

sproketmx · 18/09/2015 17:01

I share mine. Have shared a toothbrush with hubby too if we're away in the caravan and one of us has forgotten theirs. Once uv bumped ugliest there's really no boundaries

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 18/09/2015 17:03

Heavens, bit of an anti-climax.

TurnOffTheTv · 18/09/2015 17:04

What is exactly in your hair that is so gross?

DextersMistress · 18/09/2015 17:04

Grin I take it you never go to the hairdressers op!

OllyBJolly · 18/09/2015 17:05

googles dragon butter

AskingForAPal · 18/09/2015 17:05

HAHA wow aww OP what about when you sleep with a partner, do you wear hairnets or those old-lady rain cape things to prevent your hair from touching your partner's?

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 18/09/2015 17:11

How strange.

Brace yourself OP - I kissed my DH this morning - our LIPS touched and everything.

PHANTOMnamechanger · 18/09/2015 17:13

are you paranoid about headlice OP? or just a bit bonkers

I can understand telling DCs at school not to share hairbrushes with their friends.

But seriously, if you are intimately involved with someone, or living as part of a family, how can you be feeling ill at the thought of sharing a hairbrush.

PHANTOMnamechanger · 18/09/2015 17:15

our LIPS touched and everything

yeah but surely you bleached them afterwards? Wink

OllyBJolly feeling sick yet?

TittyBiskwits · 18/09/2015 17:15

Seriously? Nothing wrong with that. It's hair. As long as they're not brushing their public hair, I'm sure it's fine.

I think brushing public hair with a shared brush is fine, it's the other kind I'd be worried about Grin

APedantWrites · 18/09/2015 17:16

... told the world that she and her husband ...

Pretty please?

I'd not be that bothered about the hairbrush sharing issue either.

But the FB oversharing? The asking permission to get another hairbrush??
They have bigger issues than hygiene related ones...

GlitzAndGigglesx · 18/09/2015 17:23

I don't mind people borrowing mine, but I'd like them DSIS DSIS DSIS to remove their loose hairs from it at least!

MrsGently not everyone has sisters, in fact a lot of people don't.

Why has no-one asked why OP's friend keeps a toupee in her hairbrush??

TheMasterNotMargarita · 18/09/2015 17:27

I know many people who would find this gross so I kind of see where you are coming from.
Personally I wouldn't give a monkeys. It's hair. You get covered in all sorts of Ming from your nearest and dearest...if you start to think about it too much you'd be wearing a head to toe haz suit and only eat sterilised space food.

MissEeerie · 18/09/2015 17:30

What do you do when you go to the hairdressers?
