Overly threatening sign on public road

Was just out cycling and came across this. Seems quite threatening to me and as I was on my own I turned back even though I needed to go down it to complete the loop I'd planned.

Yes I turned around and went another way. I've been attacked by a back of dogs on a public road while on my bike. If I get a funny feeling about a place I trust my instincts.

Confused

Ooh, my second Biscuit

Wiccans are not hurtful people -they love nature, they'll be adoring the forest. The sign looks like it's done by a child. Please get a grip!

fastdaytears · 13/09/2015 22:15

Had the dogs also put up a blackboard? If not then probably not relevant.

Grin Worra

This is bonkers. I don't think forest based killers advertise their intentions with liquid chalk. Not even the terrifying Wicca ones.

SoupDragon · 13/09/2015 22:18

You have started a bunch of odd threads.

TeaAndNoSympathy · 13/09/2015 22:18

You overreacted massively.

An obvious reference to Labyrinth. But even if you didn't get that, it was clearly someone playing silly buggers.

And as for your reference to Wicca FFS really? Unless you were afraid they might attempt to waft a scented candle in your direction while simultaneously waving a beaded scarf?

SimLondon · 13/09/2015 22:18

I want to know what the picture is?

VashtaNerada · 13/09/2015 22:21

It's a picture of the rock who says the line isn't it? (Got the Labyrinth reference straight away!)

ThatsNotMyRabbit · 13/09/2015 22:21

OP I'm imagining you as that Catherine Tate character - the one that's always startled and screaming :)

VashtaNerada · 13/09/2015 22:23

In all seriousness I went out jogging last week and met these guys. Ended up in an obliette.

vashta Did His Highness appear? Did you accept the crystal? Did his crotch still stand out?

ALemonyPea · 13/09/2015 22:27

Grin Vashta

I'd have been too nosy and continued on to see what it was.

What is with the over sensitive postings this weekend?

AnyFucker · 13/09/2015 22:27

OP Grin

SurlyCue · 13/09/2015 22:28

Fuck! people are idiots.

PoppyPopTart · 13/09/2015 22:30

Was there a name for those guys? I always wondered how they did a wee Blush

SouthWestmom · 13/09/2015 22:30

I sort of might have done the same actually. If it was deserted and getting dark because I hate being scared or nervous.

psychicscam · 13/09/2015 22:31

It's nothing. Nothing, tra la la la :)

IamTheWhoreofBabylon · 13/09/2015 22:32

You were right to turn back OP
I saw the same sign and carried on. Nightmare
I was a human sacrifice
I am speaking to you from beyond the grave

BOO

Rufusgy · 13/09/2015 22:32

Thanks noefu that was exactly it.

SimLondon · 13/09/2015 22:34

Also, 'overly threatening' road sign? like a mild to moderately threatening road sign would be more acceptable.

SawdustInMyHair · 13/09/2015 22:34

Given the Labrynth reference, I would be nervous about encountering David Bowie's Pants in a dark lane...

MissFitt68 · 13/09/2015 22:34

Wiccan? They aren't anything, just people dressing up pretending to be all 'mystical' and 'intriguing' but in reality they are just normal people looking for a bit of attention
