My DH has just admitted that he wipes his bottom standing up.

I've never heard anything like it.

Is this even beyond weird????

Actually MrsMummyPig my seat fixing is always coming loose, so thats a fair point. Though no enough to convert me. Grin

I'm a convert. Raised as a stander, read a similar thread to this one on another forum a few years ago, decided to try sitting and have never gone back. Turns out it's much more efficient and easier to sit. I think I use less toilet roll now too.

MaidOfStars That is so funny - I know that feeling well Grin

Also, dare I admit, I am a through the front bottom wiper. Why would it be unhygienic? Have never had any infections down there and been doing it all my life!

I stand, but hadn't considered exactly how I do so until now, so I've had to reenact it.

  1. Once finished, take toilet roll in hand.
  2. In a smooth motion, stand and simultaneously place toilet roll at the front, reaching through legs from behind, timing it so toilet roll is in place to catch drips before my pelvis is over the toilet seat.
  3. Standing with legs apart, wipe toilet roll to arse. Generally one good firm wipe is all that's needed. Cheeks do not impede arsehole in that position for me.

I've tried sitting down, but find it leads to more drips and wiping needed for some reason.
