Fat women in bikinis?

I have 25 hours to decide on what beach/pool clothes to get!!!!! And doing my usual 2 yearly pre-holiday panic about being fat.

However. This year I am slightly less fat and contemplaring a bikini rather than my usual black one-piece. But I am still fairly fat. Particularly when sitting (less so when standing and lying flat).

It's all well saying 'wear what you like' or 'wear what you are comfortable in' but because I am fat I look fucking awful in anything less than jeans and a jumper.

So. Over to the hive-mind. What should I do?

Bikini (with very high waist pants)

Hey hooking once you have got used to bikini wearing you could crochet yourself one!!!

I too live in a beach resort - my apartment complex has a private beach - so I can safely say I see a lot of women on the beach. Not a clue what any of them wear.

I'm a 16-18 and rather large of the boob, so usually wear a scaffolding cossie. There again, if I'm on the beach I'm usually actually swimming or doing some form of watersport, and often fall out of any other sort.

Well done, it's weirdly liberating isn't it?

My feeling about swimwear is wear what you want but make sure it bloody fits. I'd never body shame anyone (I'd be a bloody hypocrite if I did) but the amount of people I saw on hols this year eating their bikini bottoms while stringy bits dug uncomfortably into their hips was unbelievable.

Fat, thin, pale, dark, all beautiful in my eyes. Seeing you constantly fingers in bum crack scraping scraps of material out your arse...not so attractive.
