Wee sample in mil bathroom

Just walked into the bathroom in my mil house. There is a wee sample on the side. AIBU to think this is grim, or because it's her house is it acceptable to leave wee samples wherever you like?

Yeah it's fine.

NerrSnerr · 06/07/2015 08:41

It's fine. It's in a pot so you don't need to touch it!

TurnOverTheTv · 06/07/2015 08:42

Not grim at all Confused maybe she forgot to move it.

basilflower · 06/07/2015 08:42

Of course I wouldn't touch it, even more grim!

Where do you suggest she should put it?

diddl · 06/07/2015 08:46

Grim??!!

Leave wee samples wherever you like?

There was one sample-in her bathroom!!.

My first ever "get a grip"!!

Jengnr · 06/07/2015 08:48

I carried one round in my handbag for a fortnight after the clinic didn't ask for it. Grin

Rozalia · 06/07/2015 08:50

My dog left a small wee sample on the kitchen floor Saturday evening. He was frightened by July 4th fireworks (yes, I am in England).
I walked through wee sample with bare feet.

Now that's grim.

WickedWax · 06/07/2015 08:50

If it was within easy reach of a toddler and in a glass where it could be mistaken for apple juice then I'd see your point.

But in a sample pot in the bathroom - YABU.

RachelRagged · 06/07/2015 08:52

YABU

winkywinkola · 06/07/2015 08:54

Do you like your mil? Are you looking for reasons to criticise her at all?

It's her bathroom. She can leave what she likes in there. And a little pot of urine contained in a pot in her bathroom isn't grim.

Don't be ridiculous, where else would she leave it? YABU.

BertrandRussell · 06/07/2015 09:00

She probably left it there by mistake. She will be mortified if she realized- particularly if she knows what a delightful person you are..........

basilflower · 06/07/2015 09:00

Wow clearly I AIBU! Though I don't think this makes me a horrible person, I just don't like to see other people's wee.

Poor MiL is probably embarrassed if she has realised. I've done this before.

hope the guest did not go on the internet to tell everybody

RachelRagged · 06/07/2015 09:02

Fair enough not liking to see others wee ,, However maybe MIL is ill ? Did you think of the reason for the sample at all ?

Germgirl · 06/07/2015 09:03

Come towork with me Op, I look at around 600 pots of wee a day. As well as lots of poo, pus, blood, sputum, semen and (my particular favourite) toenail clippings! :)
To answer your question though, it would t bother me at all to see a urine sample in someone's bathroom. You don't have to touch it!

Jo4040 · 06/07/2015 09:04

How old are you, eight?! It's abit of wee in a pot, for medical reasons.

Pagwatch · 06/07/2015 09:04

'Urine In The Toilet' Shocker!

DoJo · 06/07/2015 09:04

I've seen much worse waiting for me in public toilets - one tiny pot of contained wee is hardly worth worrying about. I'm sure she didn't leave it there as some kind of avant garde display, and I would probably be more concerned that this means she might be ill than worrying that my eyes are forever tainted by the sight of a bit of wee.

diddl · 06/07/2015 09:05

"I just don't like to see other people's wee."

No, off course.

But it's not likely that she has done it to piss you off!

FieldTrip · 06/07/2015 09:05

I agree with Rachel. I think in a bathroom belonging to anyone I even vaguely liked my first though would be either "ooh is she pregnant?" or "I hope she's OK". Not "what a grim old bag"

ProbablyMe · 06/07/2015 09:06

YABU, not grim at all. It's just wee, in a pot!! I'm slightly biased though as I have to check my sons wee frequently due to bladder issues so I may be desensitised!

Lovewearingjeans · 06/07/2015 09:07

I was given antibiotics for a uti, but needed to do a wee sample before I took them. Unfortunately the samples were taken from the docs before 2pm, so I had to go home, wee in a pot and store in my fridge overnight!
