AIBU to think people should say what they fucking mean?

Inspired by threads in which I was told asking a question is rude because "people feel awkward saying no" and "if the person wants to, offer to do it yourself and if they want to they'll tell you not to and offer instead"

AIBU to think people shouldn't play these stupid games? Just say what you mean for Christs sake. I'm sure an adult can take you politely saying no to a request. All this does is cause confusion and create weird social norms that make no sense and confuse the hell out of people who aren't neurotypical or who are foreign.

Stop it.

I've missed a chunk of this thread because (being honest) I need to go to bed and I've got a busy day tomorrow.

Just curious Lashes - if you'd been making the 13 dishes meal (and I know you never would but bear with me), how would you feel if someone asked you to make one more? Hassled? Fine? Panicked? And how would you respond?

And the other thing I wanted to say is that you repeatedly say that a lot of the things that other people do are illogical. I entirely agree. Drives me potty sometimes. But it's the NT world.

And ND people live in a world that is shaped by ND people to a very large extent. I don't know how old you are but I'm assuming you must know this by now. My DN and DS certainly do and my DS is only 8.
