What is the inspiration behind your user name.
Mine is my love of the sea tranquility lighthouses and of course no light house would be complete without a ghost

Great Gatsby fan here

dontcallmelen · 19/06/2015 20:21

From Father Ted I love the silliness of that programne.

BishopBrennansArse · 19/06/2015 23:44

ooh dontcallmelen you're a part of me Wink

Peepants78 · 19/06/2015 23:49

My autistic ds counts everything. I had apparently wet myself 78 times that he knew of, he only counts the ones he sees!

arethereanyleftatall · 19/06/2015 23:55

Mine was a rant when trying to find a user name not already in use.
It had 'fucking' in the middle initially.

FuckyNell · 20/06/2015 00:01

its my favourite 'I'm shocked' phrase.

shadowfax07 · 20/06/2015 00:53

Gandalf's horse from the LOTR, plus the day of the month I was born on. Shadowfax without a number had been taken, don't really care if it's uncool or not.

I do/did have a Terry Pratchett nn too, but I can't remember it Sad

ShebaShimmyShake · 20/06/2015 00:58

Oh, you're gonna see your Sheba shimmy shake
And all that jazz,
Oh, she's gonna shimmy 'till her garters break
And all that jazz!
Show her where to park her girdle,
Oh, her mother's blood'd curdle,
If she'd hear, her baby's queer, for all that jazz...

Plus I'm a belly dancer :)

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 20/06/2015 01:03

Shadowfax is easily as cool as a Discworld name... Nothing uncool there!

I call my horse my little Shadowfax. I also call him miniBinky too. Mostly 'cos he's grey, unsurprisingly...

shadowfax07 · 20/06/2015 01:09

Found it! I'm also MyriaLeJean Grin

mrstweefromtweesville · 20/06/2015 02:00

No idea. When I need a new name, I close my eyes, stop thinking and then use whatever drifts into my mind. MrsTweeFromTweesville is the archetypal (? is that a word?) MNer. Eats naice ham, has a penis beaker (or not), has an electric toothbrush that she remodels at weekends, thinks there's no such thing as a paedophile and trusts her husband so much she never checks his phone or email and never wonders who meets him at the hotels where he stays to 'play golf'. She's not me but I quite like being her.

woolythoughts · 20/06/2015 08:45

I knit a lot

ohidoliketobe · 20/06/2015 08:48

Because I live "beside the seaside (beside the seeeeaaaa)"

CordeliaFrost · 20/06/2015 10:16

I'm a graphic novel (comic book) geek, and Cordelia Frost, is the name of a minor X-Men character.

CumberCookie · 20/06/2015 10:19

I'm a fan of Benedict and hate the term "cumberbitch". I heard of the alternative ""cumbercookie". What do you call lots of cumbercookies? A cumberbatch of course!

MrsItsNoworNotatAll · 20/06/2015 10:22

Because I'm impatient.

MrsHathaway · 20/06/2015 10:37

I'd been binge-watching Lewis on itv3 when I nc. Jim Hathaway is a remarkable human being.

BunnyFint · 20/06/2015 10:45

My FIL called me a BunnyFint one day, he meant to call me a 'funny bint', it stuck. He thinks he is hilarious and really doesn't like it when you tell him his rather sexist jokes are not only naff, they're also very offensive.

Theresadogonyourballs · 20/06/2015 10:53

It's a line from the movie Kick Ass 2 - Jim Carrey says it. However I am aware that my lack of capitals to separate the words means that it could be read as Theresa dog on your balls, as opposed to There's a dog on your balls Grin.

Evabeaversprotege · 20/06/2015 11:12

Mine is from Sue Townsend's book "The woman who went to bed for a year" as that's what I felt like doing when I joined.

I've had a few though.

Mindexplode · 20/06/2015 11:15

because my mind never stops and sometimes I think it may exploded

maddening · 20/06/2015 11:22

I like the then named patty plinko and then the band was called "the maddening" - she goes by another name now but I liked the name

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 20/06/2015 12:31

Changed from Jurisfiction this morning. It's a Hitchhiker reference and it sums up my current state nicely Grin.

Ilive - this is about Round The Twist.

Withershins · 20/06/2015 14:44

DearTeddyRobinson there are a couple of different spellings, but it comes from "withersuns" (contrary to the sun). I remember, as a child, the myth that walking 3 times around a graveyard Yew tree withershins, whilst reciting the Lords Prayer would call up the Devil.

mrspremise · 20/06/2015 14:59

Monty Python Grin
