We adopted a 17--year -old cat from the cat shelter I volunteered at - to give her a couple of months of a comfy home before she shuffled off her mortal coil (the short term nature of the cat was the only reason DH agreed to me getting a puss). Firstly I was my cat's nickname, then a childhood mispronunciation, now I'm a movie about an aeroplane.

Great names, especially Yarp. Mine is the name of a talking fox from the wonderful children's book Hounds of the Morrigan. Only one person has recognised it so far. I have a spare name which is from Anthony Trollope but haven't thought of a good reason to use it yet!

I'm a Star Trek fan. He (she?) is one of the production crew. With the sort of name that only Americans have. I also use another ST:NG crew name for other usernames elsewhere.

After being very confused about the dos and donts of MN I just came right out and asked in a thread. Told my name combo was 'uncool' so I changed it. I have no imagination whatsoever and keep meaning to come up with a better one but post quite a bit under this name now so not wanting to confuse things.
