was speaking to a couple I know today, both out of work and living on benifits. They have 3 children and they are very vocal about how awful it is that they barely get enough money to survive. It turn out that she is now pregnant with their 4th child! This was planned and they are delighted?! They use food banks and thir children have every gadget and toy known to man!

When I asked how on earth they will manage with another child she blatantly said the money they recieve will go up and that it is her right to have as many children as she likes?!!

I have 2DC, I would love a 3rd but we would struggle finNcislly so have made the decision not to. I believe benifits should be capped at 2 children, she obviously doesn't agree! If she can't afford to pay for the children she has why should I go without yet pay for hers through my taxes? AIBU?

Shock I can't believe you just said that to Mrs d. Bloody rude.

Lady1nred · 04/06/2015 20:15

Ghost I am new but obviously whatever I say isn't going to convince you and your mate of that. Wasn't aware there were traits but if someone calls me a fuckwit numerous times I think I'm entitled to reply with a similar tone. I do need to stop rising to your guff though lol I know that. Smile

lady i have not called you anything..and have no mates on here.. no one likes me :( sob sob. this is my 3rd post on this thread :/

Lady1nred · 04/06/2015 20:21

Love a lol Smile Your post was completely out of order and a personal attack. No need for it all but guess as a new poster I should not stand up for myself?

All I have is an opinion that you obviously don't agree with and because of that I'm a fuckwit? Good one, really gets your point across.

In any case, why should everyone who receives benefits be penalised because of the tiny minority who misuse theirs?

Because they're scum and obviously don't deserve the nice things money can buy to chill out like those not receiving benefits /sarcasm

Honestly though, I'm aware the posters who support the idea of vouchers aren't in that category, but I'm sure there would be many out there who would rub their hands with glee at the prospect of taking a little happiness out of these peoples lives. It's disgusting and if you turn or the TV/news/forums, it's the same attitude every single day. I feel truly sorry for people in financial difficulty at the moment

ghostspirit · 04/06/2015 20:21

oops sorry lady just see you meant ghostyslovesheep

NinkyNonkers · 04/06/2015 20:25

Seriously, why does this even raise the blood pressure? Save the angst for the real scroungers...the businesses relying on tax credits to avoid paying a living wage then dodging tax, the bankers manipulating interest rates, the MPs fiddling their expenses. They cost us far more, and if you avoid the daily fail and the Tory manifesto are far more rife.

ghostyslovesheep · 04/06/2015 20:25

yes I am best mates with Mrs D - we swap goats and share custody of a 467585 inch TV

or maybe the truth is we just share the same views - which is allowed in a debate I think Confused

The5DayChicken · 04/06/2015 20:25

You need to have a look at people's wording before you play the personal attack card lady. A person saying that those with X views are fuckwhits = fine. Calling an individual poster a fuckwhit and a shithead (as you did) is a personal attack.

ghostspirit · 04/06/2015 20:27

i agree lake some people would love it. very sad that some would get a kick out of it.

but also vochers would get exchanged for other things/cash...its done with the healthy start vouchers now for less than their actual value.

NinkyNonkers · 04/06/2015 20:28

Food bank is 3 vouchers is any 6 month period. Each voucher is 3 days' food.

Don't worry op.... It's the usual clique. Think they are special coz they've been around a year or so. They LOVE to pole in on new posters. Especially if it's a thread 'we've already had'

The5DayChicken · 04/06/2015 20:31

Why does my phone seem to think fuckwit has an H????

ghostyslovesheep · 04/06/2015 20:32

it's posh 5day

Signlake · 04/06/2015 20:33

Agree Ghost

Even if they weren't swapped out for other things, I can't help but feel that the main aim for vouchers/cards would be some sort of punishment. Which is crazy. Way to kick someone when they're already down

Also, even though I'm not in the position myself, can you imagine paying for your weekly grocery shop with your benefit card whilst knowing a portion of the population dislike you for something quite possibly out of your control?

usualsuspect333 · 04/06/2015 20:34

We really need a rolling eye smiley.

The5DayChicken · 04/06/2015 20:36

You may be right ghosty. Best swap it out for one more befitting of someone on benefits Wink

usualsuspect333 · 04/06/2015 20:36

And leave the OP alone you cliquey bullying fuckers.

The5DayChicken · 04/06/2015 20:39

Am I still being cliquey if I'm somehow agreeing with some posters I normally fiercely disagree with?

Lady1nred · 04/06/2015 20:39

Sorry your right it was judgmental fuckwit. I'd paste it if I knew how ...

Anyway, I've changed my mind, I think anyone should be allowed to have as many children as they want, in fact do whatever they want if it makes them happy regardless of the consequences, I was wrong to suggest people take responsibility foe themselves. Sorry if I offended anyone Hmm

ghostyslovesheep · 04/06/2015 20:40

this is the only phone people on benefits should have

if you can't afford the children you have you shouldn't have more?
