To consider moving to California to hunt down the Dog Whisperer and shag him senseless?

I fancy him something rotten. I can hardly watch the show. When I see women talking to him I know that they are falling in love with him and not even listening to what he is saying. He is absolutely gorgeous.

Suggest you keep this as a secret fantasy dear!

mrsspooky · 30/05/2015 23:01

You mean Cesar Millan? But you know hes really cruel to dogs and not a dog whisperer at all right?

DancingDinosaur · 30/05/2015 23:02

Really? Grin

DancingDinosaur · 30/05/2015 23:03

I've never heard of him, just googled his image. I think its probably just you op Wink

AtomicDog · 30/05/2015 23:05

Do you mean Cesar Millan? (I had to google this)
He's not really my cup of tea...

AtomicDog · 30/05/2015 23:08

Grin What a lot of x-posts!

I think it's just you, browser... so he's free!

GammonAndEgg · 30/05/2015 23:09

To be fair to the OP, it's not just her.

My mum loves him too ??

sonjadog · 30/05/2015 23:09

I think you should go for it.

Keep us updated on how you get on.

CommonplaceMagic · 30/05/2015 23:10

Ugh. You're welcome to him OP.

His training methods are shit too.

KittyVonCatsworth · 30/05/2015 23:24

He looks chipmunkey...sort of guy that may have been bullied at school and now takes it out on dogs

professornangnang · 30/05/2015 23:30

Really?

CuttedUpPear · 30/05/2015 23:31

What does he do that is cruel to dogs?

CommonplaceMagic · 31/05/2015 00:05

So many articles on the web about his training methods. Basically, he uses pack theory as the basis of his interventions. Pack theory is something that was discredited by professional dog behaviourists (which CM is not) some time ago. It is argued that CMs methods leave dogs stressed at best. A quick Google throws up loads of info.

HoneyDragon · 31/05/2015 00:07

Yuck. He's a bully, you can have him.

Songlark · 31/05/2015 00:10

If it's a big strong dog who's a bit out of control he kicks them to make them lie down and be submissive. I don't agree with his methods.

AdoraBell · 31/05/2015 00:10

I'm torn between -

YAsoNBU because I quite fancy him too

And

YABextremleyU because of the way he treats dogs.

Pumpkinpositive · 31/05/2015 00:22

Just googled him. You are seriously welcome to him. He's no Michiel Huisman. Sad

BrowersBlues · 31/05/2015 00:49

I read nice things about him on google. Huff Post had article saying how devastated he was when his dog died and when he went through a divorce. He attempted suicide and said afterwards that he was glad he had survived because that way he could help other people because he could recognise the signs. People connected to the show said he was the nicest person you could meet.

Well, if I have no competition, I will head over to California.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 31/05/2015 01:25

He's not my cup of tea that way, so no competition here either. Teeth for TV. I do like him though and admire him for having the drive to risk it all and jump the border without nothing to his name. His back story is really interesting.

I do think he does some amazing work with dogs with problems. A large number of his pack would be dead due to aggressive behaviour if he hadn't taken them on, yet they seem remarkably calm and happy on the show. You can't fake 40 dogs all loose in the yard getting along fine so he must be doing something right. They seem happy and a lot less stressed than the ones you see in dog homes.

Anyway, best of luck OP and bon voyage.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 31/05/2015 01:28

with nothing to his name... FFS

BrowersBlues · 31/05/2015 01:29

Thanks very much Shakes I will send you an invite to our wedding!!!

Sure if you're into ignorant 'charismatic' trainers who cause dogs to be euthanised because they use fear and violence as training methods, and stil think discredited scientific work done in the 1930s is valid. But, y'know so long as he looks good on telly that's all that matters Hmm

Personally I prefer men who are intelligent, empathetic and informed.
But then I work in dog behaviour and have to 'clean up' the problems caused by Cesar Milan-TV-watching-wannabes. It would be lovely if the major channels actually promoted a programme lead by someone who knows what they're doing rather than someone basing their training on 1930's pack theory.
