Looks like the Britain-hating commie Beeboids are going to get their comeuppance.

Biscuit
longfingernails · 11/05/2015 22:29

Thanks PoppyField

The BBC shouldn't be slashed in one big stroke; it would be better to do it in small doses and let them drift into irrelevance. Decriminalise the licence fee, let other broadcasters get a bigger cut year on year, and cut the overall amount by 3% each year.

What a weird thread, I have not noticed any bias.

The bbc is marvellous.

Anyone who posts anti bbc stuff has clearly never seen Fox News.

Anniegetyourgun · 11/05/2015 22:33

Or worse, has seen it and.... liked it Shock

squareheadcut · 11/05/2015 22:33

The BBC world service does a totally wonderful job.

Cherrypi · 11/05/2015 22:33

I want them to increase the license fee. Happy to pay more.

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 22:36

Cherrypi In case you hadn't noticed, the BBC despises Tories/UKIP/small-c conservatives in general. Luckily, the feeling is mutual, and John Whittingdale gives the impression of loathing the BBC even more than me.

Here's another one Biscuit

ilovesooty · 11/05/2015 22:39

I'd be happy to pay an increased licence fee for the BBC too.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 11/05/2015 22:42

A touch of paranoia?

Dawndonnaagain · 11/05/2015 22:42

Long fingernails is notorious for posting this sort of nonsense.

Sixweekstowait · 11/05/2015 22:43

Me too

Bluestocking · 11/05/2015 22:44

I would be happy to pay the license fee for R4 alone. It's less than 40p per day for the absolute best radio in the world. Only someone who's never left Sidcup could be ignorant enough not to realise that the BBC is a peerless treasure.

HeeHiles · 11/05/2015 22:46

In case you hadn't noticed, the BBC despises Tories/UKIP/small-c conservatives

I hadn't noticed either Hmm

Love the BBC

ilovesooty · 11/05/2015 22:46

And John Whittingdale has the sort of background and voting record which in my view casts doubt on his fitness as an MP, let alone his fitness for the post he holds.

Wantsunshine · 11/05/2015 22:47

I hope he scraps the tv license. It's outdated now with so many new media avenues.

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/05/2015 22:47

I too would be happy to pay the licence fee for R4 alone.

Have another Biscuit OP.

BreconBeBuggered · 11/05/2015 22:47

Cannot be arsed to summon up a biscuit.

Jermajesty · 11/05/2015 22:48

Another one who loves the BBC, though their coverage on election night was pretty crap!

ghostyslovesheep · 11/05/2015 22:49

I would pay double - I love the BBC - Doctor Who is worth it - never mind R5 R4 and BBC4

ghostyslovesheep · 11/05/2015 22:51

although I'd love the OP to give us the evidence of the 'Britain Hating' - fairly sure they cover most events - you know like VE Day celebrations Hmm

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 22:52

12.6% of the country voted UKIP. I wonder what percentage of BBC employees did? I would guess 0.1%.

OP posts:
Cooroo · 11/05/2015 22:56

Thank god - proof that BBC only employs reasonably intelligent people!

PoppyField · 11/05/2015 22:56

It is also 'hideously white' as an organisation and not at all representative of the population in that regard. That's an outrage as well isn't it OP?

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 22:57

36.9% of the country voted Tory. I wonder what percentage of BBC employees did? I would guess around 10%.
