Looks like the Britain-hating commie Beeboids are going to get their comeuppance.

Yes, the BBC despise traditional British values. Several presenters, current and former, from the left and the right, have admitted the liberal-left bien pensant bias of the Beeb.

Who cares what you guess?

ghostyslovesheep · 11/05/2015 23:01

PMSL - should people have to declare their voting habits in interview - maybe we should have quotas - you can ONLY employ people who represent the national voting pattern - so 40% of people would never turn up

ghostyslovesheep · 11/05/2015 23:03

I am liberal left and British ... I am proud of being both - it is possible Grin

I do find you very entertaining though Long - always have - but I wouldn't pay to watch you

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 23:05

GiddyOnZackHunt You obviously care enough to comment.

ghostyslovesheep Don't worry, I wouldn't pay to watch me either (I might pay not to!)

The bbc certainly do not 'despise traditional british values'

The coverage of the Olympics, the jubilee and the Royal wedding was all very well done.

That's just a crazy thing to say.

ghostyslovesheep · 11/05/2015 23:07

OP do you wear a tinfoil hat if you are forced to watch or listen to any BBC output - just in case their commie death rays zap your brain?

UncertainSmile · 11/05/2015 23:07

Did you not notice that pretty much the whole election presentation team are Tories? Nick Robinson, Brillo? Dimblebot?

GiddyOnZackHunt · 11/05/2015 23:12

Ah that old chestnut.

Aermingers · 11/05/2015 23:16

I really like the idea of the BBC in principle. But in practice I think that it's impartiality does need looking at. When members of it's own staff have basically admitted that it's biased there does need to be some sort of reform.

They practically went into mourning on election night when Labour lost, I was surprised that Dimbleby didn't put on a black tie.

Radio 1 news in particular is practically left wing propaganda.

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 23:18

Andrew Neil is an out and out right-winger (I wouldn't say Tory necessarily though, he no doubt despises the more Notting Hill parts of Cameron's agenda just as much as I do).

As for Dimblebot (great name!) watch his collaboration with Hattie here

And the bias of the question time audience during the election campaign when Farage was on was ridiculous, I think it was two thirds left-wingers.

OP posts:
longfingernails · 11/05/2015 23:20

Aermingers I think Radio 5 is the most biased actually.

PoppyField · 11/05/2015 23:23

Considering the outrageous left-wing bias of the meejah - with the BBC shamelessly out in front, cheerleading the Trots, it's quite amazing those sadly traduced Tories won.

UncertainSmile · 11/05/2015 23:25

Paxman? That fucker with the big ears, Andrew Marr? Tories.

cleanmyhouse · 11/05/2015 23:27

Nearly got me there. I nearly responded with outrage. Then i realised there is no need to respond to either

a) goady twattery.

b) people tripping on acid.

Nice try though.

UncertainSmile · 11/05/2015 23:31

The last leftie who worked for BBC News was John Cole; how long ago was that?

SallyMcgally · 11/05/2015 23:32

YABVU indeed, unless you can find any evidence of him having any interest in the arts at all.

UncertainSmile · 11/05/2015 23:33

Evan Davis? Tory. Even wrote a book about how brilliant Privatisation is.

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 23:33

SallyMcgally He is extremely qualified for the role; he headed up the Select Committee in the last Parliament.

Hardly a leftie though, is he?

UncertainSmile · 11/05/2015 23:35

The Dimblebys are such patrician Tories, David especially has his tongue stick half-way up Charles Windsor's dirtpipe.

longfingernails · 11/05/2015 23:45

UncertainSmile Andrew Neil is certainly not a leftie. But he is a bit of a token.

Kirstie Wark. Mark Easton. How about Robert Peston? Or Sarah Smith? Andrew Marr? Victoria Derbyshire?

Here is a great article

Nick Robinson? aka former president of the Oxford Conservative association?

Icimoi · 11/05/2015 23:52

OP, why would an organisation that despises traditional British values produce programmes like the BBC Proms, the Sunday Service, Bells on Sunday, the VE Day concert, Carols from Kings, day long broadcasts of big Royal events, and many, many similar programmes?
