Looks like the Britain-hating commie Beeboids are going to get their comeuppance.

Tony Blair used to complain like hell about anti-Labour bias on the part of the BBC. That would seem to indicate that it's been getting it about right.

Icimoi · 12/05/2015 23:26

Couldn't agree more; the pro Labour bias was so blatant during the Election campaign it was a joke

Specific examples, Chillwinston.

By the way "bias" is a noun, not an adjective.

Chillwinston · 12/05/2015 23:29

Funny isn't it how James Purnell, a former Labour Minister, now sits in one of the top positions at the BBC, as Director of Strategies.

And the BBC isn't Left wing Bias?

Pull the other one.

Chillwinston · 12/05/2015 23:31

I don't need your grammar corrections thank you very much.

It's 11.30 and I'm fucking tired.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 13/05/2015 06:35

There's still no specific examples.

Interviews should always be tough on those in power! That's good journalism, and they are tough on the opposition too.

twofingerstoGideon · 13/05/2015 07:05

But don't you know, TeWi - the Conservatives like to be fawned over.

I thought Farage had a disproportionate amount of airtime. Has anyone complained about that bias?

The best thing about the BBC is the lack of advertisements. I don't want to spend 13 minutes in every hour of TV viewing time having things sold to me in loud voices. I'm happy to pay the licence fee for that alone.

MrsNextDoor · 13/05/2015 07:11

I've worked for the BBC and it's choc-full of Tories. OP is talking crap.

ragged · 13/05/2015 07:37

It's funny, I'm not too bothered about what happens to the NHS. But I could weep at demise of the BBC. :(

OnlyLovers · 13/05/2015 09:21

Disgustingly left wing bias and disturbingly impartial.

Um ... Confused

Does this make sense to everyone else? Biased AND impartial? What?

6Musiclover · 13/05/2015 10:06

The BBC is dire. The news coverage is utterly dumbed down. Why report about refugees fleeing Syria when you can spend the first 10 minutes of your news coverage arse licking the Royals.Angry
The awful period dramas they put out and the obsession with slebs is embarrising.
If it wasn't for 6 music we wouldn't have the licence fee.

6Musiclover · 13/05/2015 10:09

And as for the BBC being bias towards the Tories. What a hoot.Smile! The BBC full of Tories!

netguru2 · 13/05/2015 10:19

Wtf has the behaviour of his STEP brother when he was still at school got to do with anything? Smear anyone you disagree with?

He pulled Murdoch in to investigate phone hacking - against Murdoch's will.

The decriminalisation of licence fee evasion is seen as the 'thin end of the wedge'. Really?

I think it's a good appointment too. A minister who has actually heard of the issues before being given the job and demonstrated some understanding. It's a different approach ;) - but one I approve of. Now I'll actually STFU and wait to see what he does rather than damn him for innuendo and smear.

longfingernails · 03/06/2015 01:18

And so the left-wing bleating begins. It's hilarious to see the BBC and Labour trying desperately to do each other little (and not so little) favours as they descend into their mutual irrelevance:

What an odd little thread.

'commie beeboids'? Dearie me.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/06/2015 06:09

The government of the time ALWAYS complains about BBC bias , whatever their political persuasion. They must be doing something right.
