6 babies

My friend is pregnant with baby number 6, all planned, no multiple births.

Her OH wasn't keen on the idea (her health as she's had a couple of bouts of pre-eclampsia, a c-section and she's now 40 and him just wanting to enjoy the 5 they've got) but from what she's told me she essentially cornered him into it.

I just think 6 babies is ridiculous, they're all under 11 and yes they get benefits, although her OH works, and no they couldn't afford to live without them and yes it was a factor in the financial planning element of her decision (i.e. they can afford it with the benefits so that's why they're having the baby, not the baby to get more benefits).

I know there are arguments about only having babies you can pay for yourself, and I know some people think that it's unfair to say that because it would leave a lot of people unable to have a family, but 6 children, that you couldn't afford without help just seems a bit wrong to me, AIBU?

I don't believe 1/2 of what OPs say on these type of threads. Why don't they mind their own business? The story starts off pretty reasonable - then as soon as a few people tell the OP YABU the same shit happens..oh but she was cheating, she cornered him, she forced him blah blah blah a whole lot of "suddenly" remembered drama, just to sway people's thinking.

Breaking news..there are people with large families who are alive, and living, and haven't become destitute.

OP you sound as if you want her DH for yourself. 3rd person in the marriage, methinks. If that woman has any sense she'll keep you and your long nose a mile away from her personal, family business. & actually, you could do with getting on with your own business.

& since you've revealed so much of her personal business on here, to the point that if she is a MNetter she'll know this post & thread is about her, why don't you just go the whole hog..contact the DM with appropriate sad face and bemoan the fact that there are benefit scroungers jumping out of the bushes where you live. You'll get plenty of sympathy over there.
